Well I've been a bit sidetracked from my orks recently. I've spent quite a while hunting down all the bitz I need to make a few conversions. First on the list is a rogue trader and his retinue of servitors including a robotic dog that acts as a bodyguard. I plan on using them to count as a ig company command squad with carapace armor. The rogue trader is based off a witchunter inquisitor model. I cut the head off and used the catachan medic head as I feel it looks badass. I've magnetized 2 of the servitors to be able to switch between flamers and servo arms in case I want to use them with an enginseer. The second on thing on my list is a deathwatch librarian. I really wanted to convert one from the space hulk librarian model and that involved quite a bit of failed ebay bidding until I finally managed to snag one. For the left army I used the deathwatch shoulderpad that comes on the terminator sprue. I removed all the blood angels insignias on the model and replaced them with inquisition symbology. Did the same with the stormshield, I plan on waiting till after it's painted to glue it on.

Other stuff is basically some ig conversions. Made a few new company commanders, mostly with powerfist and melta bombs. Also made a new company command that looks more high tech than normal guard. Used valkyrie door gunners as the basis so it looks like they're wearing carapace. For heads I used some of the old sentinel pilot helmets and 2 of the new heads that come with leman russ and chimera kits. Wanted the meltagunners to look like they have night vision or thermals. Also used some elysian meltaguns, I find the scale better and have more detail.

YOU CHOPPED OFF GIDEON LORR"S HEAD. I nearly fell out of my chair, I love that $40 model and have always wanted it. Excuse my bias, but his original head was too awesome to cut off and I am now very sad.

Otherwise the conversions are looking nice and clean. I know those are the static Valkyrie legs, but 4 models in a row with them look...a bit boring. But I guess they'll just blend in with the rest of the force on the table.

I would suggest green stuffing your own knee pads, its really not that hard (especially if you plan on doing more in the same style).

$40 model? If you paid that much for it they saw you coming.

He was a regular blisterpacked inquisitor over here.
Sold for $18 or so at the time.
I have three of them left now (the fourth went to bits conversions. Head on this model, pointing hand on that model, plasma pistol on that other model and the body went to a fourth guard commander model.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I've seen them go for a lot on ebay, I think there's one up right now for like 50$

Finally finished painting the deathwatch librarian. I'm happy with how it came out. I took some shots of it with my existing deathwatch kill team and they definitely have the same vibe.

Finally got the squad painted. I'm happy with how the servitors came out, the inquisitor on the other hand isn't great. Also made a new objective marker with a wounded guardsmen next to some chaos lookin book. I intend on using the squad to count as a company command squad with carapace armor. The cyber mastif would be a bodyguard. The inquisitor would have a plasma pistol, powerfist and meltabombs. Oh yah and the servitors are magnetized so I can still use them as normal servitors in case I ever run a techpriest enginseer.

I like it looks clean, only issue i would say is i dont like the green rims on the base, personally i would have it black as i feel that leaves the focus on the model but up to you

Fantastic inquisitor... What arm did you use? Also, sweet Deathwatch marines as well. That Librarian/Inquisitor is totally awesome.

Orks are like those neighbor children who aren't invited to your parties and they come right in anyway.

Thanks guy

For the arm I used part of the powerfist arm from the catachan command squad box. I cut it off near the wrist I believe.

I really like the models. I'm really digging your Inquisitor (and cutting off Lorr's head isn't really an issue now he has been re-released!). If I may inquire what colours did you use to paint his brown clothes?

The Death Watch Librarian is excellent.

My only criticism is your choice of colour for the base edges on the Inquisitor and retinue. The grey one everything else looks so much better.

Nice one

lol, that's one factor, you computer monitor could also be a bit off on the color so it could look a lot warmer than it should

Ah...that could also be the case. Oh well I shall have a play about on something. Thanks again for the response. I could always add some yellow if it looks much colder in real life.
