This is what I have so far:

1x Hive Tyrant (I bought swords and can make him into a swarmlord, yay magnets, I also bought him a set of wings and magnatized those too).
11x Warriors, 1x Prime (instead of priming him black , i primed him white and gave him a diff color scheme).
8x Genestealers
28x Hormagaunts
28x Termagants
1x Parasite of Mortrex
1x Trygon (Prime)
1x Carnifex
Made 3x Mycetic Spores
3x Zoanthropes

Awaiting some bits to arrive so i can construct 3 tervigons (I bought the chapterhouse bodies so I ebayed some legs, heads and scything talons).

Any idea what I should get next? More termas/hormas? Another carnifex or two? Another Trygon? Maybe make it a Mawloc? Perhaps some Hive Guards for low armor vehicles or Tyrant Guards to protect my Hive Tyrant/Swarmlord?

My initial thought was buy another battleforce as I ebayed 10 gargoyle wings and I could start making some warriors into Shrikes?

1. Hive Guard -- More anti-tank. Zoanthropes are a bullet magnet. Hive Guard can shoot from out of direct line of sight.
2. Venomthropes -- The moving 5+ Cover save is great
3. Trygon -- You'll already have five MCs so while Trygons are great I think you should pick something else first.

The Chapter House "alien spawning creature" kit needs the body of a Carnifex to be built on to.

Get more hive guards. ;-)

Hive Guard and Zoanthropes. Maybe a box of those new plastic gargoyles.

It would be shame to waste the spores you've just built. From your list you could maybe look at a fast/DS list:

HQ tyrant with wings - hive commander is a must upgrade

Elite 3 zoeys in a pod

Troop 20 devourer termagaunts in a pod
Troop 15 genestealers

FA Shrikes (5)

HS Carnifex in a pod
HS trygon prime

Only real units missing here are a few more stealers and the gargoyle wings you've ordered for the shrikes. This will give you a base for a 1,750 - 1,850 list but you will need to look at more troop choices.

Alternative is to go for tervigon/warrior spam list, but I would want some hive guard in that case.

Gargoyles, fast, can tie up units, relatviely cheap points wise, manouverable, 6s to wound bonus and can be biomorphed if needs be.
More genestealers never hurt too, can proxy them as Ymagrls if your group is cool with that.

was thinking of getting another battleforce since I'll need more termagants anyway with the tervigons. Will also flesh out my genestealer brood a bit more and give me 3 warriors I can turn into Shrikes....

I think after that battleforce I'll focus on hive guard then venomthropes.

Just imo: Hg - > gargs -> vens.
Dont get me wrong I can see you're going for a FS list but even a cheap 2 man garg unit can tie up a lot.
A single box isnt too much cash wise.

edit: ok with your list vens might be better but keep the gargs in mind!
