Me and some buddies are getting ready for the Ard Boyz in May because that the best tournament we have around here.Their where 4 who showed up to play, Tryanids,
IG, Orks, and me with Wolves. We roll off and it’s me vs. the Orks and
IG vs. Tryanids. Both tables had the same mission and deployment.
Mission: 2 objectives
Deployment: Pitched Battle
Table was set up with a hill on my right side kind of in the middle, a wood terrain in both of our corners, and a small hill in the middle, and a piece of woods in the center of our deployments.
He placed his objective on his left side of his deployment, I placed mine on my left side.

Shootas, Lootas, Ghaz and Mega Nobz in a BW, Boyz, Kans, Boyz, Ard Boyz, Kans, Lootas, Burnas and Big Mek in BW.
Most of his force was aligned up to go after the objective on my side of the table. Only the Shootas and Lootas were by his objective.

First Turn Orks
Everything surges forward. Left Shootas move to get in range for shooting and get a 6 for their terrain move. Battle wagons move 13".
Shooting: Right Lootas shoot at the
LF in the woods in my corner, they role 2 shots a piece, hit 4 times and kill the squad leader and a missile launcher. Left Shootas shoot at the Rune Priests
LF squad and do nothing, Lootas shoot at the same squad and get 3 shots a piece, and score 7 wounds and kills 2 missile launchers and puts a wound on the rune priest(YIKES) Kans don’t kill anything and the Boyz run, but no one runs more than 3".
First Turn Wolves
On my right side 2 razorbacks move 12 and drop out their Grey Hunters, the other one moves 6 to get a side shot at the battle wagon.
LR doesn’t move. Razorback next to it moves 6" towards my left to shoot Kans. My Rune Priest separates from the
LF Squad so I don’t have to move them and lose a turn of shooting. Land Speeders move 12" to get side shots on the Burna Wagon. My Dreadnought drops in and lands right in front of the Lootas on my left.
Shooting: Land Speeders Immobilize the Burna Wagon. Dreadnought
HF Lootas and kills 5 and they run off the board.
LF wreck a Kan and the Rune Priest Explodes the other one. Razorback stuns a Kan from the other squad.
LR immobilizes Ghaz Battle Wagon. Rune Priest attempts to Living Lighting the Shootas and roles double 6s and dies, but
LF kill 3 or 4 from the squad and 2 Lootas, but they passed the
LD.
LF next to them kill 5 from the Shootas. Grey Hunters and
WG flame Shootas and Rapid Fire and kill about 6 Shootas.
Orks Turn 2
Everything attempts to move forward but very slowly. Ghaz stays in his ride and so do the Burnas. 1 Boyz squad move to the objective in his corner.
Shooting: Big Mek attempts a repair but fails, Shootas shoot one squad of Grey Hunters and I pop the Wolf Standard and only lose 1 boltgun and the wolf guard from the 8 wounds. Lootas shoot at the Terminator
LFs and kill nothing. Kans shoot at the
LR and do nothing.
Assault: Ard Boys charge the Dreadnought. The remaining Kan from the right squad charges the drop pod. Shootas charge both Grey Hunter squads. The Nob from the Ard Boyz whiffs and the Dreadnought kills 2 boyz. The Kan explodes the drop pod and it hits 20 ard boyz killing 5. He loses another 4 from fearless roles. The Grey Hunters both have the Wolf Standard popped and kill 9 Shootas and the Shootas only kill 3 grey hunters in the squad without the Wolf Guard. He loses but roles his leadership after taking a boss pole wound.
Wolves turn 2
Scouts come in on my right side to put more bodies on his objective, Speeders move to get side shots at the Burnas Wagon again, Rune Priest moves into the woods for cover. Empty Razorback moves to get shots at the Kans again.
LR stays where it is. The 3 razorbacks on my right move to get side shots on Ghazs Battle Wagon.
Shooting: Land Speeder Explode the Burnas Wagon and kills 2 Burnas and they pass the Pinning,
LFs shake 2 Kans from the middle squad and Rune Priest doesn’t do anything, the Razorback wrecks one of the Kans.
LR Explodes Ghaz Battle Wagon and kills 5 Boyz from the blast. Razorbacks kill 3 Mega Nobz.
ML LFs kill Boyz from the squad moving to his objective and miss on the Lootas.
Assault: Scouts join the combat with the Shootas and they wipe out the squad, but I lose the last guy from the leaderless Grey Hunters. They move to my side table edge to be out of range from the Boyz moving their way. Dreadnought kills 1 Boy and the Nob whiffs again and he loses another boy.
Orks turn 3
Everything moves forward. Burnas move to assault the land speeders, the lone Kan from his right squad Immobilizes its self while trying to move through a crater! and the 2 other Kans move towards my objective. Ghaz and the Mega Nobz move towards my
ML line
Shooting: WAAAAGGGHHHHHH! Everything moves its 6". Lootas shoot at a
ML squad and don’t kill anything again. Burnas attempt to burn the speeders and don’t do anything.
Assault: The only thing he assaults is Ghaz into the Terminators
LF squad! They role a 3" for their move and can’t get both squads on the hill. My
LF whiff and the Terminator puts a wound on one of the Mega Nobz. He does only 9 wounds to the squad and I put 3 wounds on the terminator hoping he dies to I can pop shoot his Mega Nobz with Lascannons in my turn, but he makes all 3. Then he passes his leadership check!! NOOOOO!! The dreadnought kills another Boy and the Nob whiffs again.(
YAY)
Wolves turn 3
Speeders shift 1" to flame the Burnas,
LR moves 12" to get to my objective. Rune Priest move out of cover to Jaws a Boyz squad. The Razorback with the Grey Hunters moves 12" and drops its load. the other 2 razorbacks move to shoot at the last 2 Kans. The Scouts and Grey Hunters squad move to flame and assault the Boyz squad.
Shooting: Speeders kill all the Burnas leaving the Big Mek who passes his
LD. The remaining 2 Kans Explode from Lascannons. The Rune Priest Jaws the Boyz squad and kills 8 Boyz including the Nob, and Living Lighting kills 1 more boy. The
LF shoot at the immobile Kan and do nothing. Mass shooting from my right knocks the boyz down to 11 models. And the Lootas lose 2 more and run off the table.
Assault: Ghaz finishes the terminator. The scouts and Grey hunters kill everything except the Nob on the right who kills 2 Grey Hunters but runs away, they move over and claim the objective. The Dreadnought kills 1 more boy and finally the Nob kills the dread, but not before 3 more died from the explosion.
We called the game there due to him having to go pick up a couch.
Space Wolves: 1
Orks: 0
Win Space Wolves.
Game was good but lopsided once I removed his mobility and took out his shooting. I probably would have claimed 2 objectives if we continued. Overall a good game, Orks are tough to deal with when they have that many bodies.
