Did you make an Assault with your Daemon Prince the turn it Deep Striked?

By the way, I really liked the pace of the no-nonsense and clear comments from the armies were introduced; pleasant to watch.

To me the Chaos Space Marines needed to be characterised as a threat reaching back to the Imperium's past, a threat which had refused to lie down and become part of history. This is in part why the gods of Chaos are less pivotal in Codex Chaos; we felt that the motivations of Chaos Space Marines should remain their own, no matter how debased and vile. Though the corrupted Space Marines of the Traitor Legions make excellent champions for the gods of Chaos, they are not pawns and have their own agendas of vengeance, empire-building vindication or arcane study which gives them purpose.

The daemon prince flew on from his board edge. He was just out of range for an assault on the assault squad that had its rhino blown up.

Nice report! Good armies, very good terrain. Also enjoyed the format of the video; gave good visuals and a nice, clear summary of the game in a 15min timeframe.

Looks like you had some awful dice there, Dave. Between all the 1s to wound Mepphy early, and all the PMs who seemed to be dying in droves to S4-S6 attacks and shots, despite T5 & FNP, it was a heck of an uphill fight. Good effort.

Amazing, simply amazing Chaos army... The detail on those rhinos and defilers was just awesome. I'm... green with envy. (I went there. Oh yes. I went there.)

Great game man, really nice armies and a nice game which was an uphill battle for you (older Codex and poor rolls), but was largely still in contention till about turn 4.

Really nice armies and terrain and great commentary and coverage, was a pleasure to watch and one of the best bat reps I've seen for a while.

Great game.

Also, I want Jon's beard!

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Like all the other guys said, beautiful models and awesome clip.

Edit; And oh god I love your Death Guard marines! Honestly, good job. Time to make my own army to look just as good!

I really should have hit this point a little harder, yeah. That chaos army is indeed awesome. I'd love some closeup photos of the Daemon Prince and PMs.

Nice bat rep, Dave! Good to see some of the old homies back in SD! I recognize some of the terrain I made for the store!
