I'm just wondering how everyone paints the adeptus mechanicus symbol on the shoulder pad of a space marine? I tried it once, and I'm not happy with it, is their an easier way?

there is an adeptus mechanicus symbol shoulder pad with all of the vehicles I think, comes on a seberate sprue with the hatches and pintle etc
