I'm not that familiar with the DA codex, but where are your troop choices? Or do temies count as troops?

Not a fan of the two speeders. Seems like they'll die really really quickly.

I would drop them and take a Chaplain in Terminator armor and put him in the Command Squad along with Belial. The worst thing that can happen as a Deathwing player is that your opponent has an assault unit better than your terminators. This has happened to me before with Space Wolf Wolf-stars.

Or guide-doomed banshees. It's what I use against termies all the time. With that number of attacks, who cares about storm shields?

I don't think a chaplain is useful here. Sure he has 4 attacks base, but the termies are already fearless. The CML and MM on the typhoons will be a thorn in the enemy's side.

The problem I have with this list is that the termies are all on foot, and there's no Ravenwing to do a DW assault. IIRC, you need a Ravenwing attack squadron for DW assault

Termies count as troops if Beial, master of the deathwing (first company terminators) is taken as a HQ choice

I think I would keep the land speeders because of the needed melta.

Well....as they are currently configured that don't have melta.

Oh thanks, I think I should change it around, what would you do, or should I not even put in the melta!

+1, I think you need some way of getting them in closer, a mobile army can outmaneuver your termies quite easily.

wow, lots of bad/faulty advice in here.

#1The Typhoons still have melta if you chose to take that instead of HB, the cost is the same

#2 Termies can not take a Drop Pod and even if they could DA does not have the drop pod assault rule

#3 Not many mobile armies can deal with 14ML/turn especially not when one considers how difficult it is to remove 10 of those.

As for the list, what you will struggle against is horde type armies even with 14 frags/turn. I would drop one termie squad for 2 WWs and a third speeder. For the you will need to drop the Banner in the command squad as well. Will leave you with 15pts that can be used change the 3 LCs into CFs

You don't need one but it just makes it way easier to do so safely. DW termies come with the DW assault rule (for those without C: DA it is basicly the drop pod assault rule but for terminators) and can do it on their own. People add in RW squadrons because of their scout move + teleport homers meaning your DW assault lands exactly where you want it.

But I do agree with Rogukiel, a ravenwing attack squadron totting melta will probably be a good addition to the list for the extra mobility and anti-tank.

I stand corrected. You don't need a Ravenwing squad for DW assault, but as said before, I would still take one for the safety of it.

If you are taking RW for the sole purpose of deep striking DWs then you are doing something wrong. You are betterof starting all your termies on the board in 9 out of 10 times.

with 3 Typhoon speeders and a couple of CFs there is no need for additional melta.

I agree with starting on the board! I also think that adding another speeder should be good. The mobility is a problem in this list. but I think typhoon speeders (all 3) is the best bet.

where are you from? Finland? Country between sweden and Russia? Never heard.

TH/SS for belial? and you need whirlwinds and vindicators for anti-horde, so drop one squad for those
I like vindicators more but their short range is a problem

Whirlwinds and vindicators are terrible horde weapons. Consider, a whirlwind will hit a properly spaced horde and deal 7 hits. If t4, thats ~5 wounds. So 5 wounds off of orks is still 25 orks. While it is true that a large blast can hit 30 orks if they are bunched up, if they are bunched up then 2 cyclone shots can hit 38 models... so a 2 shot cyclone is better for bunched up orks.

If you are really worried about hordes in your metagame, you are better off with stormbolter termies or a different list. Elite termie lists have their weaknesses, better to play to your strengths.

As a final note, I second having 3 bikes (2 melta + fist) and an attack bike in the list in place of 1 termie unit. Sure, you dilute the termies, but the melta/fist combo of the bikes, combined with what is usually a first turn assault with scouts, lets you turn 1 blow up land raiders and such... which your termies will otherwise struggle with. Teleport homers is the icing on the cake.

Agreed I find it that they do not do much against hordes
