The nexus closed? When? That is very sad, it was a great store, and they had great tourneys. Of course, I live just over an hour away, so I wasn't there for anything but the tournaments.

About a month or so ago...there is talk of it opening under new ownership. It didn't close cause it was forced too....the owner just wanted to do something else.
New hobby shop in Cambridge just started selling 40k...Forbes or something like that.
Hope they run a 40k night

I haven't gamed in KW in a while, but J and J runs hobby events. I think. Anyhow, hope all goes well with the Nexus under new ownership - and good luck to Kevin with his future endeavours. -Andrew

Hey just thought I would give life to this again because I am interested.
I haven't heard of this nexus does anyone have any information on it's current state?
I know that Forbes has a new location in cambridge now and they do have a warhammer night that is deffinately worth going to.
and does anyone know if j&j's has game nights? I don't know where they would hold them?

I don't know if this post is still active but I thought I would give it a try.
I see lots of discussion about Forbes in Canbridge and I happen to be a regular there.
40k is pretty big at Forbes, there is a 40k night which is on Thursdays from 6-9 where you can stop in and expect to play a game. Forbes has a huge gaming space with I think 6-8 boards for warhammer. Most people will bring 1850 but if you don't have that much then you will be able to fun a 1v1 or even a 2v1 using only 1000-1250 pts.
However that is not the only time you can get a game in. Myself and my close group of about 6 40k players are always looking for more matches and other days to play.
I even most small friendly tournaments sometimes with my friends at my place since I have 2 boards of my own.
So if anyone in the KW area is looking for 40k, there is lots to play here in Cambridge!
