Quick question...
Can a monstrous creature or a large figure, such as a Wraithlord, Trygon, Dreadnought, War Walker, etc., move under terrain?
Ok, that's a vague question - let me explain.
A trygon must pass under a walkway within ruins to make it around an immobilized rhino. We tried to get rock solid clearance on this, but the best we could find is - monstrous creatures ignore difficult terrain. So - does that mean he simply busts thru the walkway, and makes it around the rhino with no rolls or specific rules?
If the figure doesn't fit under the terrain, bridge, plank, balcony, etc - can it move thru the terrain??
If a Dreadnought wanted to stand within an inch of a ruin wall, but there was a 3" level above him, and he didnt fit - does he bust thru and stand next to the wall??
In my main scenario - my opponent just assumed his Trygon could duck / crawl under the walkway.
We didn't know how to call it, so I gave up and let him do it.

If it looks like the model could just about make it or could smash its way through ... Difficult terrain test as it squeezes through/ smashes a hole big enough. Otherwise impassable terrain, same as tank traps are to vehicles

I would like to imagine that the killing machines of the future can simply 'break on through to the other side'. I mean, if a real world tank has no issue driving through a building (and in the process bringing it down on top of itself, I don't see why such large monstrosities couldn't do the same 38000 years from now.

If the walkway is part of a ruin then the usual rules for moving through ruins would apply.
If it's not then it's down to agreeing with your opponent as to whether it could fit through remembering that it's not fixed in the pose that it's modelled in.

Well, I would say you could ignore the rules for dangerous terrain. I mean, in some cases its unlikely, but a trygon is an organic being, I'm pretty sure they are capable of bending over to get through a tight spot... I mean, if you want to believe that it would remain in that exact pose for a whole battle go for it, but I like a bit of abstraction thanks.

Also -monstrous creatures do NOT ignore difficult terrain. They are less hindered by it, but still suffer its effects.
You should have cleared this pregame; you could call it an intact building (in which case you cannot move through it, only under it) or similar.

Wraithlords can be modelled kneeling, so it isn't a stretch to assume it could crawl underneath on all fours. I think the big difference between vehicles and MCs with terrain is that vehicles are mostly inflexible blocks, where MCs have their own sense of body and can jump, stretch out, duck, roll up in a ball, step over things, keep their balance, and all that, they are just big bodies. They have musculature and flexible joints instead of a blocky hull and treads.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

Thanks for the info. I assumed the ruling would be 'treat it as difficult terrain', but they can move thru it regardless.

With area terrain it's abstract. With other terrain it comes down to agreement with your opponent, though it makes sense to recognize that the unit would actually be flexible and able to fit through spaces one fixed pose could not.
I'm usually not a fan of trying to pretend a model is standing somewhere it won't actually fit, although I suppose that falls under Wobbly Model Syndrome.
