Any game shop in San Antonio, Texas or near cities (1 hour or so~) that hold tournaments regularly? My friend and I are looking to find a place to goto or at least contact that regularly hold WH 40k tournaments.

Thanks!

The Dakka Store Finder just has Alien Worlds for a store in San Antonio; though their entry doesn't specify their tournament situation, you could call them:

There are also several other stores in other cities, but I was too lazy to check driving distance, sorry.

San Antonio's Dragons Lair holds monthly tournaments I believe, and Gamelot (The FLGS I most frequent) will be holding them soon too as well. Check them out!

If you can make it to Austin, we have a 40K tournament the first Saturday of every month at Dragon's Lair. If you can go as far as Killeen, they have one on the third Saturday of every other month at Battlefield Games.

That's the website where almost all of the central Texas area's events get posted.

Wow thanks for the replys guys! I've signed up to that site and Austin looks like a nearby place that's not too far and they frequent tournaments. Too bad they don't frequently have tournaments here in San Antonio :(

Do they usually have a good showing of people at the tournaments there at DL? About how many people go normally? I checked the site but I couldn't find any admission fees or anything just start and registration times. Are there any fees to entering the tournament?

Thanks for your help!

No fees to enter the tournament and they usually have people capped at 26. Get there early as spots fill up fast and they are first come first serve. There will be about 40 people that show up but the store can only hold the 26.

There is a GT tournament in San Antonio the weekend of May 14-15. It looks like they had 46 players at a tournament last year. More information at http://www.alamogt40k.com/
