So I've been looking to upgrade my USB drive from a 2gb to a 8gb as i find myself needing to move more files and such latley and my poor 2gb USB is about to burst its so full. I've had a gander around at Amazon and a few Computer stores and such looking but all the one's that i have found seem great but there always seem's to be a fatal flaw in them too. Such as PNY USB seem to have a notorious streak of breaking relatively quickly, But on the other hand there good drives that respond quickly.

So I came here asking Dakka for help. What USB drives do you Dakka Members use? Would you recommend them?

What I'm Looking For:
-8gb
-Relatively cheap ($15-20 or so range, cheaper if possible)
-Speed isn't as big a concern as i won't be writing very large things, but if i can do it, its a plus for sure

Somewhere in south-central England.

I just buy whatever's cheapest at Rymans or on Amazon.

I can remember when a 512MB flash drive cost twice what an 8GB drive does now.

They're cheap enough that you can just buy the cheapest you can find and replace it if/when it breaks. Just load a copy of the files onto your new one (assuming you back-up your files) and away you go.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I use a 2GB cruzer and have had no problems with it. They come in larger capacities too.
