Hey guys I was playing a friendly Blood Angels player but Im a bit confused on this rule


On Dawn of War I am able to deploy 2 troop UNITS and 1 HQ UNIT.

I deploy my 3 Chimeras, which have my 1 HQ and 2 troops inside.

He disputes this, and says that The Chimeras count as an additional unit. So he says I have 4 troop Units and 2 HQ Units, which is illegal to deploy on Dawn of War.


I take his word for it and only deploy 1 Veteran Squad inside a Chimera, counting as 2 Troop Units.


Is he correct?

He's correct. This is explained in the example provided on the same page as the Dawn of War rules.

You pointed it out yourself - you can deploy three units. What you deployed was three FoC choices containing six units.

The same principle applies to Combat Squadz if I recall.
