'Ere We Go! Again!

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

"OMG it's so broken" "It'll beat every codex ever"

Why do we have to do this every time a new codex comes out?

Guess what - once you've seen the codex and played with or against it a few times you'll realise that it's not all that. Like every other codex.

P.S. The sky is not falling.

BUT GUISE HENCHMEN CAN HAVE CHEEP MELTAS

(ignoring the fact that they're T3 and needs a special character to even count as troops.)

Really, everything that isn't =][= or a dreadknight is silly expensive. When we first got the leaked copy, we made an entirely legal 1500 point with sixteen models.

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

But I doubt you'd be decking them out properly. Even if you load up on Paladins and Terminators, they don't all need to take that 2++. Just enough to screw around with wound allocation and make you nigh-invulnerable to the scary stuff. Then slap FNP onto the Paladins and you've got a very meaty hammer.

And being T3 and needing a 100 point special character isn't particularly prohibitive. Hell, for 1008 points (not including Coteaz), you can put 72 plasma guns on the table. T3 be damned, that's going to fry something.

72 plasmas that are going to earn 3 years of bragging from TFG, 2 years of complaining how the Ork/Tau/Eldar/Zoats army kicks his army's butt quite often, and a lifetime of moaning after his list gets invalidated with the next codex.

What's the point of baking a cake if noone will eat it?

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Actually, that is the point.
You pay for such upgrades.
Now, once you have forked out on a few nice toys, your army is getting smaller and smaller.

I rather face a tooled up GK army than a green tide.
So what if they have some great items? they still die none the less.

See, that's where he's right. Every time a new codex comes out, people cry foul and rage at all the OP'ness. What he means is that this time probably won't be different.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

No, he was already complaining at the GK Codex being overpowered. Whether or not it is or even released.

If he was saying, as you have just said, that everytime a Codex comes out people complain/ "cry foul and rage at all the OP'ness", then I would agree.

He wasn't saying this however, he was saying that they are overpowered etc.

On a boat, Trying not to die.

Dude, just field 180 Ork Boyz.

It's the answer to everything.

And anyway, this codex is a Marine Codex, meaning that there is going to be a small number of units on the table, and with everyone and their mother getting a PW, it's going to be fun to take down the TFG.
