So I was eyeballing the gorgeous Terminator Chaplain for a conversion I was thinking of, and my question to you is:

How many different parts does the Chappie come in, and more specifically: are his arms separate or are they sculpted as part of the torso?

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

I believe the torso/legs/head are one solid part and the arms are separate. It's been a while since I built mine but I think that's how it came to be. He also comes with a few scroll cases and a iron halo thing.

Just a handful...

Yup as the poster above said. Two seperate arms + few bits, the rest is a solid piece.

Found by google, the back of the chaplain:

Also I picked up one of these for £1...He looks ridiculous next to my plastic Termies, I am working on Bulking him out as he looks like a dwarf next to them.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

The old metal Chaps are tiny, but the new ones is huge. It towers over the normal plastic termies.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I got a terminator Chaplain because I thought he looked amazing and I he would be my HQ.

I have yet to use him in a battle

But he still looks amazing

Chaplains are great looking, but on the battlefield as Character a bit limited. My reasoning is the following, Chaplains are CC orientated, (Extra re-roll for failed to hit = Awesomeness) putting him in an Assault Squad of 10 with Chainswords and BP's and getting the charge in = Carnage. Win the combat, sweeping advance, consolidate. Putting a Chaplain in TDA whilst looking the part makes him relentless and therefore unable to do sweeping advances... Remember that Terminator squads with Lightning claws get the re-roll anyway...Would be good with Thunder hammers tho...

PraetorDave don't let what I have said put you off, its all opinion.

Are we talking about the same dude right here?

True, a TDA Chaplain can't Sweep because he's in Terminator armor (not because he's Relentless). But the Chaplain and seven other Terminators charging out of an LRC hardly needs to Sweep. Lightning Claw Terminators get a reroll to WOUND, not to HIT. So, the Chaplain doubles the effectiveness of Claw Terminators.

There is an older terminator chaplain model that's sized with second edition terminators, I have both and the new one is pure awesome.

I know, the old one isnt as good, but I think that the poster mwnciboo is talking about the old one and were all talking about the one I posted, which is pure epic win.

Question has been answered.

However, the new termie chappy has to be one of the best sculpts to date for marines.

I think I might have to pick this model up he would go well with my command squad, though I probably wouldn't use him much and I would want lots of Feathers and totems on him to make him more "Native Indian".
to fit with my boys

I hope their future terminator models are as good as this one and yes I got a little bit confused as I only saw the back of the model and the OP mentioned conversion I thought it was the old Termie Chaplain , so I put 2 & 2 together and made 22 rather than 4. Its what happens when you go past 30 Years old your mind starts going....
