It's a bit vulnerable and there aren't many models, but i was thinking this list may be a bit of fun, will look amazing, and hopefully will perform reasonably on the battlefield! It will mainly be used fighting Eldar and occasionally other marines. Any tips or changes?
HQ
The Sanguinor
Commander Dante
Elites
Librarian Dreadnought- (Unleash Rage and Blood Lance psychic powers)
Furioso Dreadnought- Blood Talons, Magna-grapple
Troops
4 Sanguinary Guard squads- 4 infernus pistols, 3 power fists, Chapter Banner, 2 squads have death masks.
Heavy Support
Stormraven Gunship- twin-linked hurricane bolters, twin-linked lascannon
1995pts
The HQ is a bit expensive, but will go crazy once in combat, and the Sanguinary Guard are troops due to the presence of Commander Dante. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You have the magna grapple on the taloned dread. Wouldn't you take a magna grapple on a blood fist dread so it could punch through the armor you drag towards you? Or do you think the str 6 talons would be good enough to down most vehicles you run into? You did say you play against mostly Eldar and the taloned dread would be better against the units they could field.
I've played against versions of thins list before and the Sanguinor is a beast in combat.

I agree with your point, but i feel a taloned dreadnought can't be left out against eldar (causing instant death makes it even better) and a magna-grapple is just in case i meet too much tank resistance. The librarian dreadnought can't seem to take talons or magna-grapple, so that is why the magna-grapple isn't equipped on him. and yes, i feel str 6 is sufficient for most eldar tanks, especially as i am dropping the dreadnought from behind (out of the stormraven) so the weak rear armour is exposed.

I would suggest you change one of the Libby powers to Wings of Sanguinius, as I'm guessing the Furioso will be embarked in the Storm Raven, leaving the Libby Furioso as the only model in the army which wouldn't be moving 12" minimum, making it vulnerable to being just left behind.

I fielded Dante and unit of Sanguinary guard last night. They did OK, but only because there were Sanguinary Priests nearby. Dante himself was amazing, and not anywhere near the cheese level of Mephiston (who is just unstoppable).
What did much better than the Guard were the two units of Vanguard Veterans. Granted, they both eventually died to a man despite Storm Shields AND Priests...but that's because they were making a right mess of an entire Necron army. When I got home I swapped in a third unit of Vanguard Vets, and removed the Sanguinary Guard.
Regardless of which you choose, consider adding some Sanguinary Priests. They're just awesome. Give them infernus pistols, and they can tank hunt, too (you don't need to join them to your units at all to get their benefit).
My list didn't have a single vehicle in it, in 2000pts. I was atoning for the last several games, where almost the entire list was mechanized (7 wins and tie...it seemed time to retire it). I see what you're saying with the other units being better, but i am also trying to run a narrative through my army, and the SG seem to be a great way of expressing a huge story without too much work as a whole, and i already have a battle company, so i am a bit bored of painting normal marines. and yes, the wings of sanguinius special power may be a benefit on my dreadnought.

It's good seeing another fellow player value theme over competitiveness. It's a trait lost among people in the new edition. However I think you can afford to include one or two Sang Priests without violating the theme. Where you'll get the points, though, will be hard.

Yes, i have been thinking about a priest or two, maybe losing the two sets of death masks would be worth a priest?

Each priest will be at least 75 points, as they need jump packs to keep up with everyone else. two priests thus comes to 150 points, which is alot on two 1 wound models.

One problem I can see here, as inconsequential as it may be is that since Sanguinary Guard have no sergeant model there will be nobody to receive The Sanguinor's Blessing. I don't suppose it'll matter too much, but it was something that stood out to me.

The blessing is a point I missed, but I think I will keep the theme of my army rather than get the blessing!! And I forgot about the jump packs on the priests, which is why my points calculation for them is incorrect, thanks for pointing that out!

I run a 1500 pt Sanguinary Guard list, 4 squads of guard two priests dante and a libby,
very hard to win battles but is extreamly fun, use dante and a 5 man infermus squad,
Also put dante, libby in a squad with the banner, then use libby to give dante D3 attacks, do dante 4 attacks, +1 charge, +1 Two CCW's, Banner +1, Libby power +3, a potential 10 attacks very nice.
I use it as a fun list poeple are shocked at the lack of models, its a challenge to win whole games but you can have some great assaults and fun moments, just be prepared to loose alot.
Also they look freaking awesome!

Second the vanguard and priest comments. Remove one squad of Sanguinary Guard and one Dread and add a Vanguard unit and priest instead.
The vanguard get to grips with the enemy immediately, so you can eliminate the things that would really cause problems for your guard (like plasma cannons).
The second dread in your list seems out of place, one of them would have to run to get to the enemy, while the other rode in the raven. I'd go with just the libby (and more because you want the psychic hood than anything else).

Dreads with Wings are a lot of fun. 13 armor on the front + flying is...just fun. But they do get immobilized, and then they are not so much fun.
Death masks are not worth the point, IMHO. Dante does it for free, so you still get that if you want it. Even one priest is worth having. His effect has a 6" radius, so once you get to grips and the army gets stuck in, he's really worthwhile. The vets are great for disrupting the battlefield long enough for the other units to come in and find targets.

At least one priest is a MUST! In my experience, Sang. Guard are beastly, but they're always done in by either massed firepower, or plasma. There isn't anything you can do against the plasma (except for cover) but Feel No Pain from the priest will help survive the massed firepower. That way, when you are hit by plasma and las and such, you have much better odds of having enough units to deliver a good ol' fashioned dose of the Emperor's justice.

Let us know how it does.
Not sure the priests are best-equipped with hand flamers, but I don't know what you'll be fighting or what role you want them in. Such a short range weapon might be at odds with trying to keep them within 6" of two or more squads.
Over all, you've made some good additions.
