Essentially I attempt to shoot my enemy as much as possible before assassinating characters or holding units with the Arch Lector and fighting the depleated blocks using halberdiers (hopefully buffed with the War Alter's Light Magic or the Lvl 2 Wizard's signiture spell) If lucky, the Lvl 2 rolls Transformation of Kadon and has use for his power scroll. If not, its only 20 points wasted.

I have 307 points remaining and I dont know what to do with it. Here are some things I was thinking about (will add any good ideas by others as I get comments):

A)Steam Tank
Pros:
Very Strong - capable of taking on some of the toughest units in the game
Unbreakable - even what it can't kill, it will at least hold up for the rest of the game
Hard for enemies to deal with - you can or you cant deal with T10 with a 1+ Save, thats about it.
Cons:
Point sink - if your enemy can hurt it, he will render it useless from turn 1-2 on.
Only attacks on my turn - can only hurt something on my turn, otherwise does not generate SP
Accident prone - roll a 6 for SP and its usefullness is cut in half (or generate 4 SP but then you lose 3" movement and D3 Impact hits)

B) 2 Units of 15 Greatswords (get some points for Command by dropping some men from each halberdier unit)
Pros:
2 Units - More ground to cover, protect my flanks, etc
Combat Ability - 4+ Save, S5, not bad, especially when buffed with Timewarp (light spell)
Stubborn - Can hold up enemies for a turn or two, even if losing combat
Can deal with enemy small units or units that are not made for combat (Marauders with shields come to mind as an example)
Cons:
Small Unit Size - will get depleted easily, so while they will stay and fight while they are there, they will not be there forever
Strikes Last - Coupled with small unit size, this is not very great.

I hate hard counters. In a game of rock, paper, scissors, I hate playing any of the factions because no matter what you choose you might as well not deploy against your hard counter. I want to use a gun. Rock, paper, and scissors could all probably still beat gun, but gun will never feel like a game is a lost cause.

hand gunner detachments for the blocks

Some people see the glass as half full, some people see the glass as half empty, I'm the guy that relieved myself in the glass.

Really? I've tried handgunners before (one unit of 14) and the most they ever did is kill around 5-6 chaos marauders which i made T2 at short range. Other then that the've done almost nothing in all of my games.

Thanks for replying though
