Me and a few dudes sit around at the local game store here in OKC and like to throw around rules questions that we cant clearly define or get an answer to, and i had one i wanted to submit to the gallery.

I know that lone characters not in a unit get a "Look out sir!" in a model of the same troop type is withing 3in. But what i need is a page reference saying that this restriction also applies to characters in mixed units. I couldnt find it, not could my mates. Now i dont need people to point to the lone character reference, because that only applies to characters not in units, i need a good page with it saying that the 2+ LoS! is not for characters mixed units.

Thank you and goodnight

Erm... i will answer what i think is the questions you asked..:
1. A character within 3" of a unit of the same type with 5 or more RnF models gets a LoS of 4+. (Page 97 1st paragraph)
2. A character inside a unit of a different unit type won't get a LoS of any kind no matter how many units of the same type are within 3". It's simply impossible to push someone away from danger when there's a bunch of bigger/smaller guys in the way. (Page 99 2nd paragraph of the "Unusual Shooting Attacks" rule).

quite indeed sir. I do appreciate the nice, clear cut response. Its to sad that on other forums people will troll for pages on end. this my friends is a case closed.

T.O.

S'not really buried, Look Out Sir rules are on two separate pages that are actually very close together. One in the characters section, one in the command section, with some hangers on in shooting and warmachines.
The answer to your question is rather in the lack of any mention about what happens to a character of a different unit type to his fellows. Simply put, he gets nothing. Not even a hug.

Please put this on your sig if you know someone, work for someone or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. Stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a sufferer right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help. But we can raise awareness.... 93% won't copy and paste this because they don't know how to copy and paste

Well, he might get a special hug, but only if it's a Slaanesh unit...
