Having no templates of any type is another problem.

Get some Mortars or arty. How important are the Pak40 Bunkers? You could just use gun pits instead for a lot cheaper.

You could take Sturm Heavy mortars, and the other mortar section (take 3) and then kampfgruppe one section with the Sturm Heavy platoon. That way You get two templates per shooting phase, and no rerolls for 5 pts less than the Bunker Pak40's

It was meant to be tournament however of late. I've been leaning towards straight up grenadier company surely for the more flexibility.

Well you could always use the models as Panzergrenadiers. FE has a lot of support choices for them too.
