Hopefully this will be easier than what I've found so far.
I'm trying to get a package or two of this stuff: http://www.ziterdes.de/ziterdes/en/produkte/article_detail.php?we_objectID=894829&catID=&subcatID=
The problem is, I live in the US. I contacted the company, and they said it would be more expensive than the product itself to ship it.
I don't have a lot of experience shipping things from Europe, but that seems...excessive.

Wondering if anyone out there can get me a pack or two and mail them over, for less than the 28 Euros for one pack that the company quoted me.
(would obviously be even easier if this is sold in stores over there, but not sure how they distribute it)

(is this the right forum for this? Swap Shop didn't seem quite right)

I'd think so, but I'm not quite sure what to use. These things seem to vary a lot in quality and just how they look. I found in someone's painting blog something that looked perfect, asked him about it, and got pointed to this product. I could try other things, but I'm not sure if they would come out right the way I want, possibly costing me more trying a few things than just getting the 'right' stuff. =/

Just looked and it is on sale for £30 online here!

Notice that they also ship overseas but not sure how much it would cost as it depents on the weight of the item.

There is a chance that it will be available in the USA

Airmail from UK (based on small package weighing 200gms)
will be £3.20

Bad news is, (as you can see) they are out of stock but can order.

Have you looking to the water effects from Woodland Scenics? Google for 'water effects' and see what comes up

Ahh, nice, a video and mentioning that it dries clear. Very helpful.
That's the problem. I came across so many that didn't look like they dried clear.

Thanks for the help!

There is no guarantee that this will dry clear for you either.

A lot of product may cure or dry clear but this isnt picked up very well in images or video.

A lot of these things can be messed up quite easily, even by the environment around you.

Fortunately I spoke about it to the poster who directed me to it.
Unless humidity or sunspots or something messes with it, it should work.
I think I'll try that other brand, though, much easier to get.

Try clear epoxy resin as used for making paperweights.
