So I got another one for you....I played a game last night where my opponent cast Curse of Anraheir(sp?) on my unit of plague monks. The main effect of the spell was that "if the unit moves over any terrain it has to take a dangerous terrain test and fails its dangerous terrain test on a 1-2". My opponent said that under the Terrain section of the rulebook, Open Ground is a type of terrain. So he said that if I moved at all I would have to take the dangerous terrain test. I didn't bother to argue fo times sake, as well as it's a guy I often play, I figured I'd just go back and read the rule later. I'm at work and don't have my rule book in front of me.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I think, technically, he's right. But I could see it both ways. Thoughts???

Well, I think he's correct in terms of counting open ground as a type of terrain.

He's wrong about if you move at all. You can still do a normal move without testing, because the dangerous terrain section reads "A unit that marches, charges, flees, pursues, or overruns" through dangerous terrain has to test.

The spell itself makes them treat all "terrain" as dangerous terrain. So yes if you move at all, you have to test and fail on a 1 or a 2.

Killjoy - not "move at all", only if your movement is part of the exhaustive list
