What is a safe way to take the base off of a model? I have some new Resin detailed bases for my minitures, and want to replace the bases.

Blood Angels, Mephiston's command - 1,500 Points
Imperial Guard, Cadian 501st - 1,000 Points.

Very carefully

(use an xacto and try to cut the feet from the base, most likely)

You should try the above and try to gently tease the model from its base, very very carefully.

How are the models attached to the base?

If you used polystyrene cement, you will need to cut them off carefully or clip off the bulk of the base with clippers.

If superglue was used an exacto blade under the feet should pop them right off.

hmmmm I assume this is a painted model your removing from a base you no longer like so the blade idea is probabl;y favorite, if the model is well and truely stuck on and not coming off you might have to cut the base away take some wire cutters and hack the base into pieces untill there's none left
