these are small squads but still quite durable and deadly with the haemies. just wish they were not so slow

these guys will be hard to move off objectives especially when supported by grot squads

I'm somewhat satisfied with the list but it has issues that are hard to resolve at the 1500 - 1750 level.

- scoring troops can be spammed by reducing the number per squad and min/maxing but I would be giving up all the extra assault and combat toys. At these levels it seems you must min/max or suffer tyring to scoe with
your identical squads each game.

- without vehicles it's tough to get enough AT into the list. You won't want to assault this list but you can play hide and seek with your vehicles against it.

- obviously a foot list is going to be much more difficult to construct then a mech list. getting all your ducks in a row becomes a tactical necessity as you will not recover and be able to reposition as easily if you make an
deployment or movement errors.

- what pops out the portal? well the talos and one or two wrack squads. i'll grab an objective and shoot down or asault some tanks. or both. the portals are there to provide a little confusion and to save at least one or two squads
a few rounds of shooting and a chance to get to an objective safely. the talos is there to destroy a at least one or two vehicles hopefully. he's a nice shield as well.

Bearing in mind i want a list with absolutely no vehicles can we improve on these configurations for each squad?

Improve on your configurations....I suppose that depends on what your end result is supposed to be and what you're trying to achieve.

If you're looking for a fun army to play, do improvements matter? You've given a good start to a self-critique, and your list isn't going to raise any eyebrows or break anyone's army over its knee on the competitive scene; what kind of improvements did you have in mind?
