Hey all... I have recently been trying out a new product for basing some of my minis. It is called One Step Crackle by DecoArt, and i found it at Hobby Lobby. It is a clear coat that when cracks as it dries, and makes kind of a broken earth effect. The thicker the coat, the deeper and bigger the cracks, so it has a good bit of variety. Got some pics to show how it looks....

Crackle medum.
Been used by artists for decades.

Nice to see some (other) minis players finally noticing that you can use regular artists stuff for more than just canvasses.

(Most 'normal' painting techniques have slowly filtered down the pipe to miniatures gaming. NMM is not new, for example - Sorayama was doing it with an airbrush in the 80s, nor is OSL, They are just adapted techniques used by conventional artists.)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
