5 Dragons is a welsh tournament between the 5 GW stores in Wales.
If you do not know where Wales is... Shame on you!!!

Anyway, i've posted a report of the first game i had on my blog site... which is new, and is mostly an experiment atm... so don't be surprised by the lack of followers of comments

Heres the link http://dayve220-40k.blogspot.com/

The intro about the tournament, and my army list is under this topic...
5 Dragons Tournament (Battle Missions)

The first game is under...
5 Dragons - Game 1

I'll be posting the other games up soon (might get one more done tonight) and should be getting my armies pictures up tomorrow hopefully along with venue pictures.
As always... i didn't spellcheck

Vassal. I believe GW make the company remove the 40k Module from their website so finding the actual programme is simple enough, but the 40k part would be difficult!
I got my version a while ago.

I like it as it very much like the old style battle reports in White Dwarf.

Thanks for the reply! It is a shame as i find the CSM player got a little unlucky, but thats what you get with fickle Gods i suppose

Going second with your list and deploying on the board.
Is this what you were saying in your blog: Deployment (Eldar) V1.0 ?
I'd prefer including an Autarch, going 2nd, and staying in reserve.

Not neccasarily with my list, but in general.
In objective missions i prefer to go second for the potential of last turn contests. If the game carries on i can just repeat and contest with another unit until the game ends.
I've had alot of experiances where I've been going second, and deployed all, or most, of my army. I find it more useful than going into reserves, if theres is a decent amount of LOS blocking terrain or large enough cover granting terrain for my vehicles i can easily stay away from the worst of the enemies static firepower and most of the mobile. However its all very dependant on the cover and the enemy i'm facing, by no means am i endorsing deploying in the open against a powerfull gunline and have gone fully into reserves in the past on quite a few occasions. Although i did point out that coming in from reserves is deploying onto the board

As it happens my origional list did include an Autarch and a doomseer, but considering i was playing battle missions, where some of the deployments are simply stupid (IMO) i dropped him and the Seer to get Eldrad, as divination could save my bacon if i was put in a precarious position (especially since at least 3 of the BM scenarios make you deploy first, but go second)

I'll work on that tonight!

Many thanks for the rundown. Good job!
It was how I expected it, up to the Dark Reapers which I never fielded in competitive play.

Excluding the first game i think they performed quite well! The fear they inspire is rather fitting
AP3 no cover re-rolling wound blast templates will do that to most marine players, especially when hes forced to disembark from a wrecked rhino.

The problem I see with Dark Reapers is that cover is almost everywhere.
Moreover, infiltrators or outflankers could threaten Reapers and in this way put pressure on your army.

Crackshot ignores cover. No matter how much of it there is, your not getting a cover save!
Infiltrators/outflankers are a problem for most static fire support units. If given the chance to deploy normally, they end up near the wraithlord for protection.
I'm also considering getting them their own Wave Serpent for a quick exit when needed.
