I was an avid 40k player 2 years ago, I had built up an army of Chaos and Tyranids and some Necrons, i really enjoyed gaming, modelling and painting in my local Games Workshop, in Royal Leamington Spa. I stopped playing because I found new interests, mainly WoW, but now I find even that to be less exciting...
So i was thinking of building up a new army, as my old painting models do look a bit rushed, my idea is If I choose a new army (which is relatively easy to paint) I may get back into the fun and exciting of playing 40k

So what I wanted from you guy is advice of what 40k army I should choose next, keep in mind I found Chaos, Tyranids and Necrons to be my main armies earlier, and that kind of thing I thought was cool, the lore behind them (especially Chaos) and the Horus Heresy was deeply facisntaing.

So any ideas?

Well, Chaos and Necrons are both pretty easy armies to paint, depending on scheme. I assume you don't want to start loyalist Marines, since you've already got enough MEQ with Chaos and Necrons.

Are there any armies you really like the look of? Imperial Guard and Orks are both fairly easy to paint if you choose a simple scheme. Alternately, you could try and paint your old models again and take more time painting them. Save you a bit of cash for the time being

Thanks for the input!
I was interested in Tau for a while, as they seem simple to paint, just armour plating for example.
And the idea of repainting my old models I haven't really thought of before, although that seems like a good idea, any particular way I should go about that?
This would also allow me to buy Daemons to add to my Chaos army which I really liked the look of.
And thanks, glad to be back!
