Hey guys,
im currently looking at the wych boxset and i keep thinking that they would make great harlequins because of the positions that they are in.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this, or have an example?

Not very helpful. But why? Harlequin models are lovely.....

They don't have half the details that the harlequin models have that are specific to them, but I suppose it is a cheaper way to get a large squad of harlequins although if you bought a shadowseer or death jester they would probs look out of place.

And just another thought, how would you make harlequin kisses and fusion pistols or whatever they are?

If you shave off the spikes and blades change over certain weapons like the net then you would need to sculpt masks on to them ..the best way would be to just sculpt the edge of the masks ie around the back of the chin and up around the back of the head so there faces can then be painted to look like its a mask . then paint them up as harleguins , as for the death jester then use the arms from a dark reaper ..?

I think the reaver heads from one boxset (4 helmets) + the helmets from the wyches (2) would be a good start. + why dont you purchase the running legs from a bitz site? Last time i checked they had loads of whych legs on Bitz and Kits (google it).

Looks like it should work, however you have to file down all of the armor plates to make them smooth. As for the heads, paint them up like masks should suffice. Who said Harlequins couldn't have angry masks? Just file or fill the hair flat to make it look like a full-head mask. Same goes for all of the edges on their armor. Harlies look like they're wearing full body-suits. Smoothing out the wych's armor to look like it's either a one piece suit or they're wearing elbow gloves, leotards and thigh highs should work.

The only problem is their weapons. Harlies have fairly smooth and elegant craftworld-esque weapons, while the Wyches have more spikey, jagged DE weapons. You may have to loot some from a few High Elf models. Fusion pistols, though, should be easy, as the Hexatrix's Blaster Pistol looks close enough.

The Shadow Seer seems easy enough to convert from leftover kabalite Warrior bitz. Same mods as the Wych, but attach the Phantasm Grenade Launchers onto the back, use the helmet Reaver head, and give it a GS hood (simple enough, as the hood on the existing shadowseer seems to have zero wrinkles, or at least lack any noticable ones).

The blaster pistols look fine as fusion pistols.
It isn't too difficult to make the kisses (whittle some plastic rod down to a tapering point), secure with a GS vambrace.

Not all harlequins have the tragic clown masks. Some use the featureless mirrormask (usually, only the psykers). Who's to say that it isn't capable of displaying ANY image in order to better terrify an opponent?

I was planning on converting Harlies from Dire Avengers. Just give them an exotic paint scheme. Maybe not.
