I recall that there was a company that did a few resin ships and bits in the same basic style as Battle Fleet Gothic and I'm pretty sure here is where i saw them, a while back.
But, for the life of me i can't recall the company that made them (I do remember thinking they were a bit pricey, though.)
Any help finding them would be appreciated.

Forge World makes some BFG stuff. They make Tau ships you'd be willing to put on the table, not the fugliness of GW's Tau ships.

FW also makes other ships as well.

It's not forgeworld I'm thinking of, it was a third party company.
The company I'm thinking of, at the time, only had alternate prows and a few imperial looking ships.
(and I agree, their tau ships are quite lovely.)

Awww...I rather like the GW Tau ships .

Seriously though, I'm not sure what company you might be thinking of...it almost sounds like a Chapterhouse Studios kind of setup, which I never realized existed for BFG!

Mangozac? Hmmm... I might know those guys from the Battletech forums. I'll go yell at them.

Babylon 5: Call to Arms was in a compatible scale (with rules that overlapped in surprising ways). But the aesthetic was pretty different for most things.

Paulson Games did a suitable (highly) model for the Endeavour and it's sister light cruisers with the armoured prow look.

They pulled them a while before GW decided to cite them in a C&D against Chapterhouse.

Isn't Paulson more or less out of buisness? I noticed that they now have nothing on their site.

Ah, I'm pretty sure that's what I was thinking of.

The site you are thinking of is Resin Addict in Aus, and this is the light cruiser he made...

Anyone know what the deal was with Paulson pulling them?

GW IP assassins were deployed from Nottingham Primus and were only averted at short notice by Paulson rapidly deploying a jedi style 'there were no BFG ships on my website' trick, which was a shame as only a few months later, GW IP assassins were again deployed to eliminate Paulson due to the Chapterhouse 'tau' walker, which Paulson had nothing whatsoever to do with.

As to those IP assassins effectiveness, go take a look at the Paulson site, after some re-naming and a spring clean, the rest of the stock is back up.

Wait, what? How on earth did they figure Paulson had anything to do with the 'tau' walker?

One of these days I have to set up a buisness here and start selling 'non-GW' stuff. I'd love to see what GW makes of the Legal system around here. Since... you know, IP isn't recognized here, particularly since the State of New York has broken the compact, stripping state courts and state police of any and all authority here.
