I was speaking with my friend the other day, and the two of us were contemplating what Astares Chapters would have an abundance of psykers drawn from their tithe worlds, potentially resulting in an increased number of Librarians/Lexicani/Codicers. We believed that the worlds from which recruits are drawn in close proximity to warp storms would result in an increase of psykers. Do some chapters have a greater abundance of psykers, and if so, which ones? Thank you in advance.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

Blood Ravens from the Dawn of War games have an unusually large amount of Psykers, leading some other Chapters to think that they have the taint of the warp in their gene-seed. It also doesn't help that they don't know much about their own Primarch...

The ones above and howling gryphons I think!! If your looking for a playable army with lots of psykers, you could just go with any chapter with a 'chief' librarian, eg Mephiston or Ezekiel, but you sound as if your going on the fluff side of things.

I imagine that Relictors have a generous number of Librarians.

I would have thought The Excorcists would avoid having Librarians... though they would have a few.

Not only do the Blood Ravens have an inordinate amount of psykers in their chapter, their chapter master is also a Librarian. That's the only
chapter I know of where that is so, however.

Get out of those metal bawkses for the Emprah!

Hmm, Blood Ravens seem prevalent... However, I dislike the idea of having a chapter from a video game, despite them being around before the video game... Do they have any successors, I checked Lexicanum, but they do not have any listed? Oh well, maybe I'll make myself a small standing number of the 1st company librarians from Blood Ravens...

The Blood Ravens have enough psykers that they sometimes field them in squads...

Yes, according to Lexicanum, two battle squads of Librarians.
