Hey dakka, Sorry for the stupid question but I was wondering if my warhammer fantasy rulebook is current. I have the one from the BFSP set but because the island of blood set came out does that mean I'm not current (8th ed. I think)?
Anyways I ask this because over the course of a year I have been picking things of of ebay here and there with the intention of playing warhammer at some point (lol check my dakka thread). This has not come to pass as I have been busy work, life, etc... (although I have assembling a decent 40k ork army in the meantime).
So I am sick of waiting for the time and I have a good some of cash so I was going to get some unusual commission work to help me clean and assemble two armies, orcs n goblins and my favorite, Wood Elves. I know they sort of got "boned" in the new ed. rulebook and I know that even if they didn't, it's an army for experienced players. But winning or losing doesn't matter much to me I just really like the models.
But now I was reading a forum post about proposed changes to the army books and that tomb kings is up and possibly followed by ogres and then Wood Elves a couple more down from that. So, based on that information, and wanting to have an army with models up to their most current form I ask:
Should I go ahead and get this army going or try to dump it off before these WE models become out of date. I'm sure not all of them will go OOP, but what if any would (speculating of course)
As always, thanks for the input DAkka
