Hello,

I just realized after looking into SoB for my friend, that GW does not have the packs of sisters available.

Is anyone else having this problem, or know why?

Old news. They're phasing out the remaining stock of metals in preparation to eventually (no date given) release plastics.

GW doesn't really fill us in on this kinda thing. They've been direct only for quite some time now too.

It depends on your country. They're still on the UK site, but are gone from the US site.

On the GW site if you work the menus enough you can still get the cadian battleforce with the leman russ battle tank in it. Same price.

Alternate reality explanation: GW has decided that the fair price for Sisters models really is US $12 per blister pack. "Discount boxes" were simply too generous.

I think we should have a Sticky thread to post all of this info (not just from this thread, but from others like it, who asks questions that came up a few weeks prior), as replying to these gets really, realy boring after a while.

I don't really trust the GW website, as you can still purchase the Necron Warrior Phalanx from it. First site that comes up on Google when yous search for it, actually.

I think someone tried that, and the sales rep told him they would only return the money, not sell him the components.

I kinda wish they would stop releasing all these new things...the impulsive buyer in me wants every cool new release they offer. Im sure new sisters of battle and grey knights are going to look awesome and make me want to collect yet another army

Rumours of plastic Sisters of Battle have been around forever; when I used to play back around 2000 they were talking about that, so I'm taking this new rumour of plastic sisters with a grain of salt.

As for them not being available on the GW store, I just checked online and on the Canadian site, too, there are Sisters of Battle superiors and imagifers, but no basic Battle Sisters. So maybe there will be plastic, or new models, or Sisters will just be going the way of the Squats come April when Codex Grey Knights is released.

That's not true. I've been around since '97, and 'rumours of plastic Sisters of Battle' only really started effectively cropping up in 2005.

Yeah...no.

Jes Goodwin has gone on the record saying that he is working on the Sisters of Battle plastics. They're "in progress", because there have been some issues with the design phase and the robes.

They can either make them look 'dynamic' like the Dark Eldar, wherein things pretty much match up in a certain way--or they can make them with the illusion of dynamic movement, like the Space Marine kits.

You're right. I was getting my dates all mixed up. Around 2000 was when I first started playing 40K, and it was around '05, when I left the hobby, that those rumours were around.

I noticed the box sets were gone from the GW website as I was considering buying some. But I can hold off if new plastics are coming out, I prefer plastics anyway for the conversions and kit bashing etc. Happy days.

There were no box sets of sisters at the Codex release, so people should get along now as well.

You are incorrect. They even released a new box set for the occasion, with a storm bolter miniature that didn't exist prior to that.
