Originally my problem with ogres was I needed to 1 more battalion box to play at 3000 but iit looks like my FLGS has started alternating between small tournaments and large tournaments every month to broaden the audience, this is no longer the case.
At 1500 Point I know a butcher is sufficient for my casting needs, my main problem now comes down to what kind of list to run.
I thought of the following:
Tyrant: Tenderizer, Maw seeker
Butcher: Dispel Scroll
Bruiser: BSB, Maw seeker
6 Bulls: Ogre Clubs
6 Bulls: Ogre Clubs
6 Iron Guts: Great Weapons, Heavy Armor, Runemaw
31 Gnoblar: Sharp Stuff
30 Gnoblar: Sharp Stuff
Slave Giant: Chains, Bad Attitude
Slave Giant: Chains, Bad Attitude

Looks solid, Slave Giants work well in pairs. I want to say take Giant Breaker on your Tyrant, but Mawseeker with LD rerolls is so nice. I think a few defensive items on your characters would be nice, not sure where you would get the points from though, maybe dump a unit of gnoblars. Would hate too see you go with less ogres, seems a little "ogre-lite" as is, and if you ditch one giant the other is just not gonna make it into combat when fighting gun lines.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Whoops, it looks like I was a tad over, 280 points infact... Automatically Appended Next Post: I am a little new to WFB, but is it more beneficial to:
Make the tyrant harder to kill with ward save, re-reoll to wound or Armor of destiny and just give him a dinky warrior's Bane so that his attacks count as magical?
Give the tyrant a tenderizer so that he can kill other heroes in a one on one fight?
Also, I am a little against the ogre-star as I put all my eggs in one basket at low point levels. Am I justified in this line of thinking? Are units of 6 naked bulls large enough to be effective againist whatever anyone is running at 1500...
I understand that my greatet vulnerability is magic followed by gunline armies given my lack of ward saves (troll-guts gets rightfully dispelled on their turn or right away), and armor saves (+1 toughness helps with though as it statiscally cuts the casualties suffered from mass S3 fire in half, and S4 fire about one-third.
Also, how do the Gnoblar trappers work. Is it like the 40k infiltrate? Do people really freak out when you deploy them near something valueable like cannons?
