I just got this email from Sabol Designs:
We are offering the following for our March Deal !
ARMORED COMPANY PACKAGE DEAL!
YOU GET:
1 X ARMORED COMPANY FIGURE CASE
3 X 2 " HYRBRID TRAYS
2 X 4" DOUBLE WIDE TRAYS
2 X 1/4 INCH TOP SHEETS
MSRP: $177.00
MARCH DEAL PRICE : $99.99 !
I have to admit, I'm tempted. Has anyone out there used Army Transport bags or rather, this one specifically? I know they're no Battlefoam, but then again, they don't hit the wallet as hard as Battlefoam does. Suggestions?

Just FYI, that blue is unreadable with the Dakka grey background.
As for the product. Army Transport stuff is good.
The foam does the job.
But you will be spending a chunk of time figuring out the layout you want for the trays and then pulling foam.
My Army Transport MkII bag is still in good shape after 5 years of use.
It has the pockets needed for the accessories you need, and hold the trays well.
I cant speak to the specific bag in your post, but I would imagine their quality is consistent.
edit Ah, you noticed the color issue after i posted.

New color isn't so spectacular when a white background is used. LOL
Although I'm saving up for a customized battlefoam set up, I have a LOT of Sabol. Admittedly, however, not this particular bag.
Without comparing them to anyone, I will say that they are worth the price... or almost, at worst. The trays and cases hold up well to normal wear & tear. The biggest annoyance is all that damned plucking.

Sabol is good for what it is...
I don't like this specific bag at all.
If it helps any, all of my old sabol bags have been replaced with Battlefoam and Portable Warfare bags.

I like Sabol cases. They're the most bang for the buck I've found so far. I don't have this bag, but after seeing this deal I'm considering getting one. The doublewide foam mentioned is large enough to contain a Valkyrie and flight stand, a Baneblade (with a little extra room) or probably several Land Raiders.
Pluck foam is a little annoying, but if you're clever, you can make a hole that will secure multiple different things universally. I have one I plucked out that can contain a basilisk or a land raider in the same hole, letting me reuse the foam regardless of what army I take.

This is indeed a great deal!
I'll highly recommend it to any gamer thinking about picking it up. The price plus 15.00 shipping is actually 3.00 less than I pay for the same stuff from my distributor.
It does bring up the question of why I should actually carry the item in my store But that's a different sort of discussion that will take place on the retailer boards.) It illustrates the problem of a manufacturer discounting his own product.

Have not used this particular one, but Sabol bags have been by far my least preferred bags. I like the GW cases more than the Sabol ones I've used, but currently Battlefoam gets my resounding endorsement for good quality bags.

I say go for it. I bought two Armored Company bags in November/December and absolutely love them. They hold a lot of foam, are easy to carry and stack nicely for storage (I have my two sitting on top of one another). I use a wide variety of AT bags and the Armored Company is by far my favorite. It doesn't lean forward like the Battalion bag, and I prefer the vertical rather than horizontal stacking arrangement of the AC versus the Division bag.
All in all I think it is by far Sabol's best large capacity bag available and the savings of the March deal is just sick.
Just note that if you end up buying the bag you need to give the bag a day or two to conform to the shape of the reinforced panels. Right out of the shipping container the bag is a bit compressed and it makes placing the proper allotment of foam in the bag difficult. Your best bet is to insert the panels and then cram the unplucked foam into the bag and let it sit at capacity for a day. After doing that depositing and withdrawing the foam should be no problem at all.

I don't have this bag but I do use the Sabol "Motor Pool" bag for my 2k SM army. Gotta say that I love it, several road trips to and fro' home and it's protected my boys well!
