Are the hellstrike missile a large blast,?

On the one hand the codex does not state large blast, but in the rulebook 'all ordnance is a large blast unless stated otherwise'?

So which is it, i've been playing that they arnt.

It states they are Ordnance. The rulebook states all Ordnance *blast* is Large Blast

Ordinance weapons that are blast are the large blast. But, Ordinance weapons that are not a blast are not a large blast by default.

The Hellstrike Missile is an ordinance weapon, but it is neither large blast nor blast.

So, no, it is not a blast. It's a single shot, no template, requiring a roll to hit.

Check the IG FAQ on the GW website, they aren't blast weapons. In detail, what the rulebook says is that ordnance blast weapons use the large blast unless stated otherwise. There aren't many (or really any, as far as I recall) other ordnance weapons that aren't also blasts so a lot of people get confused about this.
