Well it's no longer last weekend, but a couple of weeks ago I attended the Genghis Con 40k tournament. In total there were about 70 people that showed up for the 2 day 5 game event. Letting my daemons take a well deserved break I decided to break out my deathwing and some of my old ravenwing models (I don't think my ravenwing have seen the light of day since 4th edition).
You can find all the scenarios used for the tournament here: http://files.meetup.com/1305240/GhengisCon_2011_40K_Scenarios.pdf
I've summarized the primary and secondaries as part of my reports but if you want to see what all the bonus points then click above.

Game #5 vs. Eldar
Mission: King of the hill (whoever has the most, non-vehicle, dis-embarked kill points within 6 inch's of the center of the table wins). Secondary, have more kill points left than your opponent.
Deployment: Spearhead
HQ
Eldrad
Elite
2x5 Fire Dragons, exarch, dragons breath flamer, wave serpent, stones, scatter laser
Troops
3x5 Dire Avengers, wave serpent, stones, eml
2x4 Jet Bikes, shuriken cannon
Heavy Support
2x Fire Prism, holo field, spirit stones
night spinner, holo field, spirit stones
He wins the roll off and gives me the first turn. I choose the bottom left corner to deploy in. I deploy all the bike squads as close to the center as possible and then put 4 terminator squads behind them. He puts everything in reserves I scout the bikes to give me table coverage.
Deathwing Turn #1:
I deepstrike the one remaining terminator squad on the right hand side. I move up all my terminators and do some running.
Eldar Turn #1:
Crickets
Deathwing Turn #2:
I do more moving, running, and turbo-boosting. He will now have to hug the edge's to avoid getting assault by terminators, and the bike's can get to anything he puts on the table.

Sorry about the insanely blurry image it's the only one I took of the last round.

Eldar Turn #2:
He gets in a fire prism, a wave serpent with dire avengers, and a wave serpent with fire dragons.
Deathwing Turn #3:
I take 6 cyclone shots, 4 melta shots and 2 multi-melta shots at the fire dragon wave serpent and do no damage.
Eldar Turn #3:
He gets in both bike squads, another prism, his other fire dragons, and a unit of dire avengers. They all go on the right hand side. His shooting kills off an attack bike on the right, and a bike squad on the left.
Deathwing Turn #4:
I manage to immobilize and weapon destroy the fire prism on the left. 6 cyclones still don't manage to touch a non-flat out wave serpent.
Eldar Turn #4:
He doesn't get anything in. He kills off the other attack bike. Dismounts the left side fire dragon's and kills another bike squad. Shoots down another terminator or two.
Deathwing Turn #5:
I cordon off the center with my 5 terminator squads and Belial. My last bike squad kills off his fire dragon squad.
Eldar Turn #5:
Eldrad comes in on the right side, the night spinner on the left. He fires the night spinner into the mass of terminators, and makes three squads in dangerous terrain. He finally has to move some serpents up to get in scoring range.
Deathwing Turn #6:
I assault eldrad's wave serpent and the empty fire dragon wave serpent, blow up them both. I shuffle a bit in the center.
Eldar Turn #6:
Eldrad charges my terminators, makes 9 saves and locks them in hth. He lands both jet bike squads, fire dragons, and 2 dire avenger squads within 6 inch's of the center. The one squad in hand to hand with Eldard is still within 6 inch's of the center giving me 6 kill points in the center for the win. He gets the secondary of having the most kill points left on the table.
I get the primary, but he gets the secondary (there was no way I was going to get him down to less kill points in this game). The other deployment option I had was to completely spread out the terminators so that no matter where he went when he came in I could have charged him with 1 terminator squad and a bike squad as back up. The problem there is if he gets enough stuff in he could overload that terminator squad with fire. So I played it safe and stayed closer to the center and just pushed him back to the corners.

My final record for the tournament was 4-1. The loss in the 4th round and not getting the secondary objectives for the last three games ended up putting me at 8th out of 70 people. I have a deathwing army and a ravenwing army but up until today never the twain have met. And I don't even know if the ravenwing have played a fifth edition game. The double wing army was definitly a lot of fun to play and provides a lot of fun deployment options and different ways of setting up on the table. All my opponents were great sports and I definitly had a blast.

Some thoughts on the army.
I really feel like I need a hood, but man do the dark angel's suffer in that category. The only way to get a ld10 hood is a special character. And you pay 170pts just to put the hood on the table. I guess for tournaments I'm going to have to go down the inquisitorial allies route. Using a gk brother captain, until gk come out and then switching to a witch hunter inquisitor after that. The big debate for this particular tournament was 3 bikes, 2 melta's or a hood, I decided I needed the melta more. The hood may be something I look into for 2000pt games.

My other issue is the bike's. They definitly did a lot of work in game 2 against the imperial guard. They netted me a lot of additional kill points in game one sending them after pods. Game 3 they mainly died badly but they did protect my terminators and let me get off some charges. Game 4 against the marines they did more than the terminators, taking out a land raider, 2 typhoons, and a predator. Game 5 they accounted for a prism, a unit of fire dragon's, and I think a wave serpent, so not horrible. So in general I'm pretty happy with their performance, they didn't always get back their price tag of around 500pts but they got close in most games. What I'm wondering though is if I would be better off with dropping the last bike squad and looking for something else to do with it's 140pts at 1850. The bike squads are easy kill points for my opponents, especially the attack bikes. I like the options I have with outflanking and using the teleport homer's, although I think I got to use the homer's all of 3 times over the course of the tournament. I'll have to play around and see if it's worth dropping them for typhoons and some other armor, or sticking with the no vehicle theme. Anyways, thanks for sticking through the series of reports.

Hehe got pretty close on my list

Eldrad
2x 4 Fire Dragons with Exarch and H Flamer w/ Crackshot in a Wave Serpent with Scatter lasers
3x 5 Dire Avengers in a Wave Serpent w/ EML
2x 3 GJB w/ 1 S Cannon + Warlock with Spear/Embolden
2x Fire Prisms w/ Holofields
1x Nightspinner

Big thing that nabbed me on the butt here was doing all reserves, I didn't anticipate how badly not getting my Nightspinner right away would hurt. Well played man and grats on my defeat

I defiantly agree that the attack bikes were way too easy of a kill point and they are whenever I see them in any lists. You played them rather aggressively against me which got them killed, but with a 24" range it's hard not to be aggressive with them.

It was definitely an odd mission to end the tournament on. I basically didn't see a way to get the +10 point secondary, and you didn't see a way to take the primary without some good luck. Don't know if that's bad mission writing or just luck of the draw. But definitely a good game.
