Citadel's first 54mm range?
I found these in the attic the other day. There were several variants of head for each body and somewhere I have a bag with all their weapons and the helmets for the evil and good knights. Each pack would have several weapons, I had a couple more but they have been lost for a long time. I used to get them as advertised for 65p when I was young. They came in packets that had a blister shaped in the relief of a skull which was good for making scenery.
Two skeletons, an evil warrior and a wizard
Dwarf, wizard, knight and an orc
Couple of Ogres, appear to have tried painting one.
Advert from an old magazine I found a while back.

Very cool stuff! I would have loved to have had some of those to fight against my Britans knights. Looks like they even used a similar hole-in-hand method for attaching the weapons.

Ah, nostalgia...
Loved the FF books, but got into them in the early 90's after this range had been and gone.
If I'd been around back in the 80's (i.e. alive and over 5) I'd have probably spent all my pocket money collecting these.
As it was, my childhood consisted of going out once a fortnight and scouring the local charity shops for any sort of game book.
Didn't take long to pick up almost all of the Fighting Fantasy and Lone Wolf sets, mostly for 20p per book. The few gaps in my collection got bought new for me at birthdays/ xmas (Lone Wolf ones were the first on the lists, since you have to read those in order.. you get your ass kicked if you skip a few books).
I still read through some of the better ones for old times sake, the Sorcery! series provides some interesting challenges and there were a few puzzles in there that I couldn't figure out as a kid but were solvable as fun to come back to as an adult (kicking myself for not decoding the paragraph reference for the time serpent back in the day, it seems so obvious now!). Plus the art is a particularly amazing selection of Blanche art with an "Indian horror crossed with baroque" theme to it.
Fighting Fantasy was the proper core genius behind early GW, perfect combination of Jackson, Livingstone and Blanche producing downright fantastical worlds and adventures in a book. Most of the books are downright bat*** crazy in terms of their concept, which adds to the charm.
