This is something that has come up a number of times amongst our gaming group, without any solid answer. I've searched all over the net but haven't found much discussion about it.
When firing the typhoon missiles from a land speeder, do both the missile pods on the vehicle need clear line of sight, or just 1 of them?
The model physically has two weapons to represent the typhoon missiles, but it fires as a single heavy 2 weapon.

You only need to be able to trace LOS from one of the pods, as this fulfills the requirement to trace from the Weapon itself.

As per page 58, when you fire a vehicle's weapons, you point them at the target and then trace LoS from each weapon's mounting and along the barrell. So both missile pods would need LoS to the target.
Similar to sponson mounted weapons, you need to establish LoS for each weapon.
EDIT: Just had another look at the codex. The weapon is listed as "A Typhoon missile launcher" making the launchers one system. In that case, you could draw LoS from either missile pod.

Time - it is ONE weapon, unlike a sponson where they are separate weapons on each side
Hence by tracing LOS from the weapon mount you have fulfilled the requirement.

Good to know, as this is how we've been playing it. I just wanted to get some outside opinions on it as well.

A good rule of thumb is to think how a weapon destroyed result affects the vehicle.
For typhoons, weapon destroyed can remove the typhoon missile launcher, so 1 weapon.
For sponson equipped predators, weapon destroyed can remove either of the other sponsons, so 2 weapons.
