Hey all! I've got a few wizards and I need some names for them. My lore of life lvl 4 wizard lord is called Albrecht Kliener.
I'm open to suggestions and/or critisism.

As a general rule, any germanic names will work for Empire characters, and French names for Bretonnians.

Yes, look to the traits of your wizard (or what lore he is using) and translate into german, that'll give you a starting point at least.

Yeah I was gonna say just translate something related to your wizards lore to German like if you have a Lore of fire wizard look up how to say fire, burn, ash, emmolate etc in german (if they translate).

I usually pick a first name then title them after their lore, so I have Mannfred the Light, Alfans the Amethyst, Lucius the Jade... etc. I think it makes it seem similar to the wizards of Middle-Earth. I only give surnames to my captains and generals. Warrior Preists are always {first name} of Sigmar, but I usually only run one at a time.

Faust, the character in famous German Literature, who was the first to make a "Faustian Bargain", making a deal with the devil in exchange for knowledge and magical power? (The "sell your soul for X" idea, where X is your desire, be it magic, riches, fame, power, health, immortality, etc) I don't know if that would suit an Imperial-sanctioned Sigmar-fearing Wizard.

I'd think he'd be more a Empire Wizard-turned-Chaos Sorc, though the idea of an Imperial Wizard who made a Faustian Bargain with Chaos to get his power and thus using it to gain ultimate control would make some interesting army fluff.

Didn't Faust learn necromancy? He may seem loyal, but I don't think he would actually be loyal, given his corrupt power and the whole "daemonic servant" thing.

Yeah, I was just thinking if you name your wizard character Faust, it would be a reference to THE Faust, not some random gent named Faust, who runs a small bakery in the village of Hasenpfeffer, has a wife, 2 children, and miniature giant space hamster named Douglas.

Or you could use "the x" depending on his lore. the twisted, the Pure, the blessed, the terminator...
