This should be in the tactics section but here goes anyway.

LoneLictor wrote:I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.
Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space. |

I'd say either Banshees (for the reason given above) or Fire Dragons for their anti-tank abilities.

This probably should be moved to tactics, but... Voted Guardians. Just because triple flamer storm guardians are amazing. One shot wonder suicide squads shouldn't really be considered the "best"... and in all of my gaming experience my Stormies have made my bladestorming avengers look like a bunch of scrubs. Lets just say that there have been multiple occasions where my Storm Guardians have been standing triumphantly over the hulking wreckage of a Dread or a Pile of Killa Kanz and thinking, man I wish my Dire Avengers could do that...

I think its a tie between Dragons and Spiders. A unit of 10 meltaguns is pretty tough to compare against, but a unit of 10 jump troops with a 2 shot st6 weapon and the ability to jump again in the assault phase is pretty bank as well.

This is tricky, and depends on the situation. But DAs, Banshees, Reapers and fire dragons are my top ones.

My personal favorite unit so far has to be DA. Coupled with Guide and/or Doom, they're infantry-shredding Death Stars.
However, I contend that there is no "best" unit in Eldar simply because they all perform (mostly) different tasks, so if they're used for different things you can't really say which is better.

You can't really compare eldar infintry. It's all meant to do different things. I'm voting DA and FDs though.

You never noticed the jetbikes their on? Their in no way infantry
A very very subjective question though really.
Lots of Eldar units are 'good' some are better without buffs (like Fire Dragons, Harelquins) some are made extremely good with a simple guide/doom ( DA, Banshees...) but as already said, they all perform different rolls. Their are different Eldar builds, that can work very well. Its no good having Harelquins in a mechdar list, and no good have Fire Dragons in a footdar list. etc etc etc
