Anyone here use one? I'm thinking of ordering one, but I'd like to get some opinions first.

General consensus seems to be that you're better off putting the money towards an airbrush.

Or you can buy cheap Testor sprayer that does the same thing for 1/4th of the price

Put the money towards and airbrush or as someone else said buy one from testors.

It's not bad for the kinds of work it'd be used for(namely: basecoating large amounts of troops at once or vehicles/scenery). With a lot of fiddling, it can be set up to work with a compressor but if you're shelling out money for a compressor and want something to 'basecoat large amounts of troops' or 'vehicles/scenery' with...

http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=TM74531 It holds more paint, it fits right onto a compressor with no real work, etc. Is it expensive? Relatively, yeah.

Now, if you've already got a compressor, hose for a line, and the other fittings for an Airbrush rather than the GW spraybrush?

I'd suggest looking at The Warstore and getting one of the Vallejo Airbrush Color sets( http://www.thewarstore.com/VallejoAirbrushSets.html ).

At first glance, they're expensive. But the airbrush included within those sets is a high-end Harder & Steenbeck airbrush(available from H&S' US retailer for around $89.99 itself--which is actually a pretty deep discount from what I remember) with the basic nozzle/needle setup. It's also a good deal because Vallejo's Model Air line is...well, model for air/spraybrush work. It's formulated pretty explicitly for use in airbrushes.

any cheap spray gun from harbor freight would work better than the GW one.

If you are just wanting to base coat, you can get spray guns for like $10 at Harbor Freight, and a compressor for about $50.

If you want an airbrush, I recommend a Paasche Talon.

As a general rule for miniatures airbrushing, you want a dual action, gravity feed, internal mix brush.
