Hey,
My friend and I have been working on this list for a little while......let me know what you think.

HQ
145 Company Command Squad, Carapace Armor, Medpack, 3X Plasma Guns

Elite
70 Psyker Battle Squad, +1 Psyker

Troops
145 Vet Squad, 3X Meltaguns, Power Fist, Grenadiers

145 Vet Squad, 3X Meltaguns, Power Fist, Grenadiers

145 Vet Squad, 3X Meltaguns, Power Fist, Grenadiers

Fast Attack
130 Vendetta

130 Vendetta

130 Vendetta

Heavy Support
230 Leman Russ Executioner, Plasma cannon sponsons

230 Leman Russ Executioner, Plasma cannon sponsons

Total: 1500 pts

The Vets would start in the Vendettas.

Note A: Would you would think of switching out 2 twin-linked lascannons for two hellfury missiles on the vendettas?

Note B: Would you switch out the Executioners for Battle Tanks (keeping the plasma sponsons) for a chimera for the psykers and an extra psyker?

Note C: Would the Vets possibly be better served in chimeras (with extra armour), rather than vendettas and get some extra points?

Lost in the Warp....

It has some goodies and some bad things. So we start with the CCS if you want plasma make it 4 with carapace the build you have is very bad and wayy to many points. Put them in a chimera (extra armor is not needed) Pysker battle squad needs a chimera to be effective. I would get them that or drop them, Vet squads load out is bad. drop the powerfist and grenadiers put them in chimeras use the vendettas as gunships. Also never never switch out the lascannons for hellfury missiles. Personally in this build I would get a crap ful of manticores. Or the normal leman russ. All tanks hull weapon should be a heavy flamer. That is about it

Thanks for the advice...
I forgot to mention that is not a universal IG army.....sort of a blueprint for changing things around. I agree that everything should be a in a transport of some kind. If i would to go against SM, i would switch the Vendettas out for chimeras and give everything plasma. If I was going against Tau, i would keep the Vendetta and use them to get the Vets into the FW's faces and get a ton a Manti's. I have fallen in love with Executioners, though, and have been blown away by how powerful they are against SM, it is just so hard to let them go, haha.

You can maybe get away with 2 executioners with 3 vendettas.

Vets - you are paying 145 for a squad, but swap the power fist and grenadiers and get a chimera and it's only 155.

Vendettas are gun platforms and the vets can't shoot from inside unlike with chimeras. If you are to stick vets in them, then better as valks as they can move and shoot.

PBS really needs a chimera and while we're at it, drop carapace and medpack on the CCS and add another plasma and chimera.

For the cost of the chimeras, you may need to drop executioners to LRBT.

Looks alright but I used to run a medic and TBH the 4th plasma gun is loads better. You especially don't need the medic with carapace armour, that's 50 points wasted into that unit just for gets hot! rolls.

Lose the grenadiers and power fist on the Veterans as they cannot assault out of a Chimera and if you do assauilt Guardsmen will die next turn even with 4+ armour save.

Rest is ok. Get rid of the useless upgrades and you can get another unit. I think you're wasting about 200 points in ugprades an that's not including the plasma sponsons on the Executioners.

Yeah, foot vets is suicide. They need rides, or a bunch of abblative wounds in the form of infantry platoons surrounding them.

You're spending over 2/3ds of your points on support units for a VERY bottom-heavy list. I'd rebalance things towards troops, or you're going to have a tough time, regardless of the shiny toys.
