hey,

i am wanting to make a army along the lines of demonic guard, so possessed guard. i know there is renegade guard but this is different. they guys would be along the lines of normal guard but a bit more gribbily and the stats change a bit. i will be working on incorporating the 4 gods so please may people help me on my way...

You need this moving to the 40k board section.

anyway,

Chaos undivided is your best bet, which essentially means traitor guard.....look up the chaos 'dex fro chaos powers and attributes and see how you can work these into your army.

I'm thinking minor stat improvements based on the four main cults. Special troop/elites choices rather than buffs across the board.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

...Why not use the standard IG codex and just have fun converting the models? Least then it'll be 'legal' to play everywhere rather than needing your opponent's permission.

Run them as Tyranids. Khorne-crazed guardsmen with two close combat weapons could be Hormagaunts, guard with sonic blasters or whatever could be Termagants, mutated Guardsmen with wings could be gargoyles, etc.

Orks make for reasonably good traitor gaurd analoues if you want lots of possessed and muties in there.

Grots: Gribbly cultists
Boyz: Nurgle/Khorne possessed soldiers
Nobs: Big hulking super mutants
Meganobs: Even bigger hulking super mutants, now with cybernetic upgrades!

Tyranids or Daemons are also a good idea- there was an awesome P&M blog by a guy doing traitor gaurd through the Daemons book. The Lost, I think they were called?
