Sneaky Lictor

Eye of Terror... I think

Does the Lictor pheremone gimmick stack? Like a pack of 3 lictors will give me 3+ to my reserve rolls?

And what is everyones take on shrikes behind a huge screen of gargoyles? The 4+ cover save will surely make up for the 5+ armor till they get to combat. Just looking for some more mobile synapse. I would prefer to hear from people who have actually played with or against shrikes rather than nid players spewing what they have read on the internet. I know what the good builds are now but im looking for some posible competative variety here

I can't answer the lictor question, but I would think it would be per unit, not per lictor.

As for Shrikes, I've used them a few times. I normally use Gargs to screen my Flyrant though.

My Shrike Buildout is Usually Lashwhips+Bonesword+Adrenal Glands, Scytals. That will demolish most units it comes up against.

Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the input about the shrikes... noted. Bring more Gargs, screen both and it gives you more bodies. lol

I think with DE out and GK's coming soon we are going to see a rise in swarm type nid lists to avoid all the MC getting curb stomped by Dreadknights and Poisoned weapons

I personally would take more Gargs. No fear of ID and more bodies to generate charge attacks.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

On the lictors, no stacking between other lictor models or units. They will stack with either the Swarmlord or Hive Tyrant's rule however, once the lictors have been on the board for a turn.

On shrikes, I like them. I usually run them with scytals, rending, and toxin. If I use them, I'll run the brood in between my gargoyles and a flyrant. They fill in the gaps to ensure I get a save on my flyrant (which can be tough to do sometimes with gargs alone), and it makes the opponent choose between firing their high S weapons at the shrikes or the flyrant...preferably the shrikes.

Even with the 4+ cover, if your opponent is aware of what they are, they will get a LOT of fire...(which may be a great way to distract another player...)...so, try to keep them out of LOS if possible, but if a garg screen is all you got, then its all you got.

I don't like them as they are VERY expensive...

Lictors: the other poster's are correct, the lictor power does not stack ...AND the lictor must be on the board from the previous turn already to get the bonus...so, basically, its not worth much.
(best case you get it on turn 3).
