I just saw these at Toys R Us, and they are available on Amazon.com as well. There are two sizes, and the larger one is a little bit smaller than a drop pod. They run about $12.00 US.

These are different than the other toy that people have been using, right?

I didn't even realize the conversion potential as I thought about how it was close to drop pod size. I will go back tomorrow and buy one to test.

I saw those too. However they look a bit too rocky rather than fleshy.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Add a little greenstuff to the top and say the bottom is burnt from entering the planets atmosphere. Then you will be good to go for a paint job.

well.... imo i think the rocky looks BETTER than fleshy!

if you really think about it... there dropping in from space at super high speeds.... they would need really strong material at the bottom to not go.... SPLAT!

if they were totally fleshy... it would be like dropping a egg from the top of a building...

and you might wanna greenstuff the border between the "fleshy" and "rocky" parts to make it look more organic, that looks just... unnatural

There are a number of different pods for that range.
Some look more organic and egg-y and others look more flame-like.

It's not rocky it's the carapace plating.

My friend has been trying to track these down for a while, they're surprisingly difficult to find around here for some reason.
