Ok, First Off i am doing this Report in hopes that it gets fixed, and as such i am witholding the name of the potential bad-trader so as not to slander them publicly (in the event that this is not a scam, but jsut a series of serious screw ups).

The Details:

I arranged a trade for an Army of mine (rather large lot, full army) for various modles offered in their Trade post. After a very fast and all around pleasant series of PM's, the trade was agreeduppon and finalized. When i recieved my end... well... it was bad. Less than 1/2 of what was agreed uppon arrived, and it was just a hot mess. The modles were butchered, Obviously Primed over, (and not with GW primer, but some Thick Goop garbage that muddled them to the point of un-usable, and assembled by what could only have been a developmentally disabled chimpanzee. After sending a few MSG'[s and waiting a few days to maybe get the rest of the shipment (yeah.... lost at sea i bet), i sent a few more PM's and have recieved no response.

Any thoughts?

Did you ask for pics before trading?

Okay...let's start from the top.

Any questions you may have, direct them towards RiTides, Ketara, or Jin. They will help you in terms of letting you know if it is a good idea to post a thread of this nature.

Read this:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/247459.page

Bad Trader threads begin with "Transaction Report: Insert User Name"

Always keep a record of PMs, IMs, E-mails, Texts, ect. It helps to structure when and where the trade happened and the sequence of events. You don't have to post all of them, but a frame of time and how the deal went down is always good.

Otherwise, detail what you can here minus personal information about the person.

If anyone else is scammed, they will contact you. If they know him, they can work with you to resolve any problems.

And keep personal attacks out, and your good. Beyond posting this problem here, the forum can do little to help you other than pass on what we know. It is best to contact your mail service and perhaps see what legal recourse you can go through.

You did most everything right here, so throw in the Username and see who else has been scammed.

They were described in detail.... and when pics were asked, some excuse was made. TO give you an example of how bad some were... large, unmodified peices of SPRUE were used ...... sad sad day for the hobby as a whole.

Do you have some of the original PMs or messages that would help us see more of what was agreed upon between you?

i'd suggest following warone's advice and posting a proper transaction report. start first with the SEQUENTIAL listing of messages copied from your inbox and sent mail boxes as well as taking decent quality pics of what you actually recieved. were you scammed? possible. where you just naive enough to not ask the right questions and insist on details/pics and got what was promised albeit vaguely? possible. without the details we don't know which is true. i'd also put some effort into making sure your grammar and spelling are correct in the post as it helps to get your point across. i realize the irony of the guy who doesn't capitalize saying that but i'm not the one putting up a quasi-but-not-name-withheld-transaction-report-possibly.

I agree with all that was said. A proper Transaction Report should be filed, possibly using this current thread. The fact that the agreed upon items were not received is enough grounds to go ahead and file a Transaction Report. The transaction report will also put this individual on the pedestal to defend him/herself in the case of there being some corrupt dealings. I would definitely compile the PM messages in a clear and concise manner as well as any evidence you have to support your claims, i.e. receipts of shipping/tracking numbers.

Once a proper Transaction Report comes out, then other individuals who had dealings with "Possible Scammer" can come forward to help add validity or establish a possible reputation for said person.

Other Questions:
-Do you have any information of said person? Address? Full Name? Phone Number? Contact info?
-Did you use a Credit Card/Paypal for any part of the transaction?
-Did you send your part of the deal? Was it delivered? Proof of shipment/delivery?

Hope the transaction is resolved sir. Good Luck!

I would also avoid sending very personnal messages

i appreciate the one that you sent to me was in error and meant for the potential scammer but the tone was way over the top and quite rude and will not help you resolve this

as an aside the tems you sent to me STILL have not arrived and i am still waiting patiently at least you actually recieved something LOL

Just to help ya out, If you take Engine Degrease and a tooth brush, you should be able to remove that primer pretty easy. You simply just got to keep scrubing them. I can go into more detail if you need me to via a PM. Let me know.

As others suggested, please follow the proper procedures if you wish to raise issues with a trade you had.

If you wish to revisit this as a proper Transaction Report, please do so in a new thread with the proper heading and following the procedures and advice provided by WarOne, warboss and MadMaverick.

For now, I'm gonna lock this one up.
