My FLGS has increased the points on the games they run to 1750, and i'm looking for some feed back to increase my curent IG list by 250 points. This is my current list.

Dropping the basilisk isnt' a bad idea, but in this case, I think I'd swap it over to a second demolisher, a pair of lascannons for your two tanks, and a plasma mechvet squad.

Or something else, but I'd recommend a 4th troops choice by this points level, especially when two of them are only vets and the 3rd must outflank.

I had considered adding more troops but i'm not sure what to add.

250 isn't enougth to run the kind of PW blob I want, I could get a 20 man blob but i've not had a lot of luck with them

and to be honest i'm out chimeras for vets

Can't fit that many sentinels in due to FOC

I could switch the 7 ratlings for 2 scout sents.

Not had a chance to use them

Had some fluffy lists i wanted to use them in but I seem to keep getting put in games with people I don't know that well, I don't mind running fluff against you and the guys but there are some peple i'd rather not.

Thought the 250 increase would be a good chance for me to try some of my stuff out, while keeping a solid core list I know works. The stormies will probably get an outing soon as well

Pretty good man. Not sure on the Platoon on foot using meltas though. I don't like the single heavy support options either. I'd take two Demolishers to give armour saturation as you roll up the field, however, you have a lot of armour atm and some long range support would benefit to perhaps Manticores instead? Still got the large blastyness but multiple shots and can do some serious damage.

I woudl take another troop squad of some form. Melta vet would be my recommendation, but plasma could work.

Your initial plan, if youre limited by models, isn't bad, as I think the bare bones russ is one of the better ways to run them, although a demolisher might be better in your army.

How's tricks?

Al'rahem and his boys are full on awesome. Seriously used him alot and they rarely disappoint last game they killed something like two rhino's, two tac sqauds and Pedro Kantor.

The increase to 1750 I suggested would have 1 demolisher and 2 LRBT (dropping the bassie). I do want a manti at some point but I've promised myself that i'm not buying anymore guard till I finished painting my infantry at least.

trying to balance fluffy fun with not getting stomped most of the time now.

Yeah will have to do that, had my eye on one of those ad boys for ages. Can't argue with D3 S10 large blasts.

Fluffy fun and tough lists can go together easily. Take my Mech Guard good list just call it Steel Legion

On average you will get 7 shots from a Manticore over a game. Mate of mine who I play with gets 9 mostly.

That's why you should have two though I direct fire mine, they hit better and cause utter carnage but can be risky.

I can definitely recommend a Manticore, I've been on the recieving end of one, losing 10 marines, 4 neophytes and an emperors champion in one turn is absolutely horrible. Imagine what it did with the other shots.....

Easy peasy. Switch the Demolisher and Basilisk for two Manticores which takes you over points. Lose the two multi meltas on the Devil Dogs, after all Dogs can only fire one weapon if going 12" and has 50/50 chance to hit anyway.
