Just to refresh my memory, the Dark Elf Manticore/Dragon wings from Fantasy are the recommened wings for a Hive Tyrant, right?

If you want small Wings that couldn't lift him. Plastic Dragon wings or Balrog wings would be a better choice.

If/when I do my winged tyrant conversion, I will be going for the Balrog wings if I use GW parts. They are big and looks like they could sorta carry the Tyrant. The dragon wings are too small IMO.

Check out the range of McFarlane Dragons. I picked up two from a local Comic store or $30au each (less than the cost of 2 blisters each for me, and a LOT cheaper for you US guys..) - a nice range, thin enough to fit in with miniatures yet strong and not super brittle. Also, a lot more variation than every tyrant having identical dragon wings not to mention a lot of other parts that cannibalise well into the big 'nids.
