Taking non-troop units as troops?

I'm at work and won't be able to look it up for a while and was hoping someone here could provide some info. Which non-troop units can be taken legally as troops in their codex (via special characters, army lists, etc)? The reason I ask is because of the GalaxyGobbo deal they need to "unlock".

For starters, Dakka is not a replacement for your codex, and we need to keep direct material from published GW intellectual property to a bare minimum. If you had questions about how or why certain characters made non-troops choices into troops choices, we could help. If all your need is a list of the non-troops choices that have the potential to become troops, I'd say we can't help you. Consult your codices. If you don't have them with you now, you can wait until you do.

That would require the elimination of the Army List forum altogether.

All I asked for was the unit name, not a bunch of direct material from GW IP whatever. But it isn't a huge deal. Was just hoping to get this taken care of while I had time.

We're not providing him with full on rules for codex replacement, the guy just wants to know if he's wasting his money or not. Plus he can just do a general search of the army lists to get an idea of what he can or cannot have for troops.

It would help though if we knew which army you are specifically refering to, as there's quite a number of "non-troop" troop choices.

Oh, sorry about that. Was looking at Orks and 'Nids mostly because I've already got enough Dark Eldar and Space Marines to fill out two armies.

Nobz (by extension the Nob Bikers, but that one's pretty obvious given their lists), Mega nobz and Deff Dreads for Orks. For nids, only Tervigons.
