So being a slow painter by nature, I've decided to do a plog on everything I'm working on. After painting lots of grey for my Pre-heresy Space Wolves (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/260635.page) I want to get working on my other massive piles of plastic and pewter that are screaming for paint. I've still got a few things to do for the Puppies, but I really don't want to paint grey right now. So I'm going to start on various other projects including the Legion of Everblight for Hordes, Protectorate of Menoth for Warmachine, Grey Knights, High Elves and of course finishing up the Wolves. I've got lots of things to work on so this will be random, but I'm taking a page from Malfred's play book and painting different things to keep me from burning out. Of course I don't hope to match Malf's speed, but I can try!

And here's my first mini to grace the pages of this plog, Inquisitor Rex, who I will use as an Inquisitor in Terminator armor for the upcoming Grey Knights release. I love this mini and have finally got it painted after sitting around for a long time. It's pretty much done, just have to do the base and he's ready to go.

So now I have the motivation to get cracking, though as I said, I'm a slow painter, but I'll do my best to keep this updated regularly, and thanks for looking.

I like him. Looks very regal and powerful. And don't worry about being slow. We be in the same boat.

Got my first squad of Grey Knight Terminators done. The metal of the armor came out a little thick, but I'm pretty happy with them overall. I also did each shield as their own heraldry in different colors as I think it looks better than the red/white/black heraldry of the studio scheme. I also have an Incinerator or Psycannon so I can use whichever one I want in the squad. My next unit is Warspears for Hordes, should get started on them tomorrow!

So much gold! My eyes! Your Rex bloke looks good but i think your Knights need a mithril highlight on the silver and a bit of brown ink or something for the gold to pick out the inscriptions.

nice job on rex. he's my first FW model and has an incredible amount of detail (but not the greatest pose). either way, i'll actually be using him as my draigo mini since he's got a similar weapon load out. everyone i've shown him has assumed from his look/size/base that he's in termie armor so i don't think that should be much of an issue. also, in case you're interested, GW has said that FW is coming out with a free update for Rex's rules that will effectively make him playable without the vraks books (or pirating it). from his fluff (as an inquisitor who has recieved augmentations that put him between a marine and a human size/strength wise), i'd expect him to be a much tougher inquisitor than the fairly weedy ones in the new GK codex.

Really like your hector rex painting! although the gold lacks detail and definition, I agree with Perkustin a quick wash and mithiril highlight would give more detail to the gold areas as you've spent quite a bit on the other areas as well.

There is a mithril highlight on the silver and a wash on the gold as well. Guess the highlight didnt cone out so well. For the gold I tried a bright gold highlight over a washed bronze so I guess it covered it up. I'll go back and put a wash over the gold as I agree it does lack detail.

Warboss: I heard about the new rules update for Rex and can't wait to see them. One of these days I'll pick up the Vraks books, but I just loved the model so I had to pick him up first.
