Squadron rules state, "treat all immobilized results as destroyed (wrecked) for vehicles in squadrons".
Does that mean that a Big Mek cannot repair a Kan that has been immobilized because it is instantly destroyed?
If so, WTF?

Yes. The unit counts as instantly destroyed.

=(
I guess that's a good argument for running single Kans per slot in low point games.

Definately. A friend of mine found out the same thing with sentinels.
Best to get that Kustom Force Field near them and hope for the best

The advantage that squadrons give you with KFF is that as long as one of the Kans is within 6" of the Big Mek the whole squadron gets a 5+ cover save, even if the whole squadron doesn't count as obscured.

The individual Kan counts as destroyed. The unit isn't destroyed just because one Kan is immobilised.

Semantics are everything in a rules debate. It's a shame that the page numbers aren't referenced more often, as any argument on legality should. But yes, the above posters are correct. It is the downside to having stunned reduced to shaken, and having the ability to distribute damage effects.

THis only applies for the next units shooting - if you end up with 2 kans, one wrecked and one immobilised from the *same* units shooting you lose both, as damage results are simultaneous
