i like it, looks pretty epic and has the classic space marine codex art feel. Art style reminds me of the BA one

Tiny heads, tiny arms, giant weapons. Reminds me of the Chaos Space Marine cover, where the lead Terminator is pretty chubby. Not terrible, but I like the old Daemonhunters cover better.

Agreed, though this one is pretty good I think. I actually prefer the old Imperial Guard and Chaos Codex covers to the current ones. Hard to beat the 4th edition codexes. I've had multiples of almost each of my 5th edition ones as they keep falling apart, and I'm not hard on books. the gloss covers on them peel right off.

I dunno, the terminators here don't look quite so rotund and are actually engaged with an actual enemy and not just throwing up some jazz hands.

Chests are way to big, suffers from Space Marine 5th edition posing ( Leaning backwards and shooting).
I wouldnt call it epic. Its nice, but I prefer the old one. Its not something impressive you want to keep looking at imho.

Oh by all means it's better, but it still evokes that fat Terminator to me. My favorite codex cover is still the 4th ed IG one though.

Not bad at all, if nothing else it confirms the new termis will look like the old metal ones.

I'd have to agree, but don't forget that GW has fooled us on what the artwork looks like compared to the models. You've seen the IG Manticore right?

Considering the artwork in the codex was based on the Forgeworld Manticore, and not the plastic GW Manticore that came out over a year later?

I wish the big guy in the middle were slaying something. I love the cover for the 5th SM 'dex, mostly because of the dakka that is being served directly to the chest of a Chaos Marine.

This one, though, to me is better then 4th, but I wasn't a big fan of either of the Inquisitorial artworks. I did prefer 3rd Imperial Guard. I don't like Dave Gallagher (the artist of the cover of 5th ed IG), his work doesn't do it for me (except Marneus Calgar, that was epic). I like the picture of 5th ed. Space Marines better, but 4th had a better artist.
