It's been a long time since I started an army from scratch (DE being one of the last two armies I dont own) so I want to get my list done right so I have a basis to work off of before I get into my usual "Gimmick" and themed lists. I've made 2 milestones to hit, the first being the Duke Sliscus list forming the army I will use more often, while the second one is the Kabal of Asdrubael Vect, led by their famous leader himself. Both lists are going to be Warrior and mech heavy, and I'm hoping to have similar elements between them so I can progress from one list to the other.

1000 points:

HQ:

Duke Sliscus - 150 pts

Elites:

Kabalite Trueborn(4) - 4 Blasters, Venom, Splinter Cannon for Venom - 173pts

Troops:

Kabalite Warriors(9) - Splinter Cannon, Raider, Flickerfield, Disintergrator - 161pts
Kabalite Warriors(10) - Splinter Cannon, Raider, Flickerfield, Disintergrator - 170pts

Heavy Support:

Ravager - Flickerfield - 115pts
Ravager - Flickerfield - 115pts
Ravager - Flickerfield - 115pts

Total: 999 points.

1500 points:

HQ:

Asdrubael Vect, Dais of Destruction - 440pts

Elites:

Kabalite Trueborn(9) - 4 Blasters - 168

Troops:

Kabalite Warriors(10) - Splinter Cannon, Raider, Flickerfield, Disintergrator - 170pts
Kabalite Warriors(10) - Splinter Cannon, Raider, Flickerfield, Disintergrator - 170pts
Kabalite Warriors(10) - Splinter Cannon, Raider, Flickerfield, Disintergrator - 170pts

Heavy Support:

Ravager - Flickerfield, Nightshield - 125pts
Ravager - Flickerfield, Nightshield - 125pts
Ravager - Flickerfield, Nightshield - 125pts

Total: 1500pts

EDIT: Changed the list after Asimo77's advice.

Note that I play Annhilation mostly, so I have zero concern for capping objectives.

I would switch all instances of Nightshields to Flickerfields. In fact it's really the only vehicle upgrade you need. Also Maybe a little less Disintegrators? I think having some is fine, but you also want those DL shots.

I think Sliscus could benefit from being in a Carbine/Cannon heavy Trueborn squad for lots 3+ poison. Also Wyches can get a nice boost from him. You also might want more Blasters, especially on those Warriors, you need a fair amount of DL-shots. Finally throw 2 Splinter cannons on the Venom, I always make sure I have 2 Cannons on my Venoms.

edit: Vect + 9 Incubi is ridiculous overkill, you don't need a deathstar that huge.

Slicus is riding with the unit of 9 Kabalites. I deliberately avoided a trueborn squad as a deathstar unit at this points level is just asking for trouble. As for Darklances, there's 9 coming from the Ravagers already, while I can always switch out the Disintergrators back into DLs if I need more.

Is there a place to trim some points? I would add a pair of Splinters to the Venom if I had the extra points.

Also, Nightshields is the one that reduced ranged attacks by 6 inches. Personally I think it's the better of the two since not getting hit at all is better than relying on a 5+ save.

EDIT: I'm thinking of replacing a Ravager and the trueborn in the first list for some mounted Wyches. For the second list, maybe replace the Incubi with Trueborn armed with Blasters to pump out anti-tank shots? Less overkill, but still death-stary.

Well if you plan on using NS Raiders as a gunboat you'll be close enough to the enemy where they can still get their guns on you. Even if you stay at 36" only using the DL/Dissie and Splinter Cannon a Lascannon won't have much trouble finding you. Compare that to the Flickerfield which will ensure your survival 1/3 of the time.

As for trimming points ditch the Splinter Racks, you can only use it if you move 6" or less, and Splinter Cannons don't get a bonus. Plus it's too many points in a flimsy vehicle.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I should throw in that the amount of Dark Light you need, or anti-tank in general relies on the meta-game where you play. I get by without infinite lances so it's very possible you don't need too many DL-shots.

I do face one Mech Marine, although the equivallent of 2 Ravagers usually puts them down rather easily. This is why I love them though, because I can always switch out the Darklances out for Disintergrators for Anti-infantry work (I never face hordes, so their high strength, Ap2 really helps).

Throwing out a Ravager and those Trueborn for just some Wyches is a lot of your AT disappearing. I'm not sure if that's worth it, but again it depends on how much mech meta you got where you're at.

Also I don't know if Trueborn would complement Vect's CC capabilities that well. You could also forgoe the Dais all together.

P.S. I would like to throw out more ideas and help with the list, but I need to go to bed (tired as hell!). Good luck with your list, and hopefully we can bounce around more ideas tomorrow.

It's getting late here too (almost 2 am and I still ahve 2 paintings to finish) so I might be heading off too.

I'm kinda more geared towards anti-meq, since there's not alot of vehicles here.

Then I could see why Disintegrators would be helpful. I would still abandon the NS's they I can't imagine many scenarios where they would actually save you from something, but perhaps it just takes some play testing. Also just realized your first list only has 2 scoring units, that could be a bit tricky to work with.

I never played with Vect, so I can't say much about him, but wouldn't Wyches be a better retinue for him? But it would be nice to have those 4 Blaster Trueborn somewhere in the list. You could always lose the Dais, and stick him with 4 Incubi in dual Splinter Cannon Venom, it's still pretty killy.

I'm not worried about scoring units as we play Annhilation almost exclusively. I might downgrade the Dais into a Raider with Flicker, as I still want to have Vect ride in an actual Dais model, even if it wont be counted as one. I can also downgrade the squad into Wyches too.
